It’s pretty much a guarantee that the second season of The Last of Us is going to be bigger than the last.

One character’s role looks to be expanded in the upcoming episodes as Hollywood star Jeffrey Wright gives out more details on his moment as Isaac Dixon.

As we saw in the first season of the hit show based on the hugely successful PlayStation game, The Last of Us loves to give us more on the characters we enjoy.

Talking to TVLine, Jeffrey Wright has given us some details on what to expect from his reprisal as Isaac.

“It’s kind of an introduction to the character,” he said.

Wright continues, “People have asked… whether we’ll get a little bit of a backstory about Isaac? We might.”

Season two of The Last of Us has a lot to go over, particularly when it comes to Isaac Dixon, the leader of the Wolves (Washington Liberation Front).

We’re due to see the WLF go toe-to-toe with the Scars (Seraphites) but that is only part of Isaac’s character.

As we saw with season one of the show, TV gives the producers space to expand backstories, and Wright says of his, “It might not be pretty.”

Of course, Wright voiced and mocapped the character for the game, so he will make the jump to screen perfectly.

The star wasn’t initially sure how much fans would take to his role, he wasn’t even sure how big the game was.

Talking previously, he said, “I voiced in the game really because my son was a fan. It was really just a few days work but you know, now, wildly popular game has become wildly popular TV show. I didn’t realise until I showed up on set just how many people were into this thing.”
