We haven’t seen him in a while…
Just when it seemed like everything was working out for Mickey Haller, things quickly turned for the iconic lawyer as he tried to leave town for a little vacation and had a surprising traffic stop that turned into his surprise arrest in the season 3 finale. And if that wasn’t shocking enough, there was a dead body in his trunk which means someone is not only out to get him, but they are willing to do anything and everything to put Mickey behind bars. While we only got a small glimpse at the victim, you might not be able to see who exactly it was who was found in the trunk of Mickey’s car. Don’t worry, we figured it out for you!
So who is in Mickey’s trunk at the end of season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer?
As we already know, Mickey and the police officer who arrest him discover that there’s a dead body in the trunk of his car. However, we only get a small glimpse of him and there’s also a chance that you might have forgotten who he even is. Well, that’s because it was none other than Sam Scales.
Wait, who is Sam Scales again?
Sam is a professional con artist who sometimes will run into trouble and has to call Mickey and co. for help. He was first introduced in season 1 and has even re-appeared throughout the seasons. Lorna defends him in season 3 when it’s discovered that he’s been arrested for another scam where he asked people to donate grocery store gift cards in order to help those who are on strike…only to keep two-thirds of the money for himself…
That being said, there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between him and Mickey. But considering how much debt he owes the law firm, it would make it seem that Mickey has a motive to go after him.
Netflix
Who is out to frame Mickey?
Well, we don’t exactly know who is behind this as that’ll be the main plot of season 4. However, you can dive into the book The Law of Innocence which will follow what happens next.
