well credit where credits do this rings

of Po trailer is a really good trailer

if you didn’t see the first season but

read the books you’d be forgiven for

thinking it matches what tolken wrote

unfortunately I have seen the first

season so I know everything I’m seeing

is nothing but lies oh lies

I assume this will be the final trailer

for the rings of power season 2 or maybe

the second to the last since the show

returns in 2 weeks either way the

trailer leans more into the coming war

between the elves and Sauron skipping

over how all of this happened like I

said in the intro if you only read the

books and saw the trailer it would look

like the show Mostly follows the books

there are some obvious things out of

place like gadriel in battle and

imprison by Orcs And confronting saon

there’s an INT wife and there are

characters who have no business even

being in the show like Tom Bombadil

totally not Gandalf but obviously

Gandalf and what appears to be sorod but

overall the trailer looks good it sells

the show the VFX also look good I’ll

still need to see the shots in context

to see if they hold up but from what’s

in the trailer it looks okay so those

are the positives as for the negatives

where to begin so because the show

Runners changed the order of the

creation of the Rings of power they’ve

had to completely upend the story to

force it to align with their fanfiction

so they can get to Sauron creating the

one ring as a result the elves now know

that they’re fighting Sauron before he

and Kell bmore Forge all the rings of

power this creates a problem because in

the show Sauron takes the form of what

I’m assuming is anatar who looks exactly

like the guy elron Kell brenor and

strong woman hung out with for weeks

they all know what he looks like they

all know he’s Sauron because he told

them so it doesn’t make any sense why

any elves would trust him let alone work

with him especially Kelly bmore but the

show is called the rings of power and it

still needs the other 16 Rings Kell bbor

made so the writers had to make it work

and this was their solution once the

deceiver obtains a being’s trust he

gains the ability to sculpt their very

thoughts um I have a question how does

gilgalad know this he had nothing to do

with howand AKA Sauron he only found out

about HAL brand in passing so why would

he call Hal br/ Salon the deceiver in

the first season we’re told that Salon

disappears at the end of the war and

everyone assumes that he was defeated

and is dead so he didn’t take on a fair

form like he did in the books and

pretend that he was going to repent to

the Valar and then re instead in the

show Sauron takes on the form of how

brand and tries to live a normal life

until he randomly bumps it to strong

woman he tricks her but that’s because

she’s the dumbest woman in the world so

doesn’t realize who she’s with but that

doesn’t make Sauron a master deceiver

who could control people’s minds we

never see how brand do anything like

that so again where is gilgalad getting

this from this may seem like a nitpick

but it’s not it’s a writing mistake the

show didn’t establish saon as an evil

deceiver in the first season the

audience knows that saon is the villain

but that’s not what’s in the show all we

see is how brand trying to stay away

from everyone and live a normal life his

deception is really Lying by omission

and he never does anything evil or wrong

until he reveals that he’s Sauron the

show can’t call him the deceiver if it

didn’t set that up now it appears the

show will address a point I mentioned in

my previous video which is why would

anyone trust the three rings since

Sauron helped make them which is not

what happens in the books and no one

knows what control he might have over

them you are wise to fear these rings in

sauron’s hands they could work an evil

Reckoning so I’ll give the show credit

for bringing up this point and and then

immediately take that credit away

because this change breaks a fundamental

part of the story one that makes the

events of the Lord of the Rings even

possible Sauron had nothing to do with

the making of the three rings the only

reason he has any power over them is

because they were made using his

techniques so when he forges the One

Ring Sauron could potentially control

anyone wearing rings of power however

that only works if both Sauron and the

other ring bearers wear their Rings If

the ring bearers take the Rings off

which the elves did when Sauron put on

the one and they sensed him Sauron has

no power over them by directly

connecting Sauron to the creation of the

three rings the show now implies that

Sauron can control or manipulate them

before he creates the one which makes it

impossible for the events of the Lord of

the Rings to happen because if saon has

control over the three rings he can

probably sense where they are and who

has them so he would just go and take

the Rings from gadriel Kieran and

gilgalad there goes rivendel there goes

loran there goes gandal for those who

are confused gadriel used her ring to

protect loran gilgalad gives his ring to

Elon who then uses it to protect

rivendel and Kyan gives his ring to

Gandalf who uses it to help inspire

people all of those things need to

happen for the events of the Lord of the

Rings to happen but they can’t if saon

could control the three because he just

take them again I’m not nitpicking it

genuinely doesn’t make any sense why

saon wouldn’t just roll up with an army

and take the Rings if he can sense or

control them in any way now in the books

Sauron takes the form of anotar and

helps Kell bbor Forge The Seven Rings

for the dwarves and the nine rings for

men and then Kell bbor forges the three

rings for elves on his own after Sauron

forges the One Ring the elves realize he

tricked them and don’t use the three

rings and try to hide all the other

and tortures him until Kell bbor gives

up all but the three Elven rings but

since the show changed the order in

which the Rings were created the

showrunners and Riders now have to find

a way for Sauron to force Kell rimbor to

make more Rings even though Kell bmore

knows that hbr was actually Sauron and

so shouldn’t have anything to do with

him how do they do this by turning Kell

binor into sauron’s [ __ ] you sought

peace I gave it to you this is hardly a

gift what have you done to me what have

you done to me who are you truly I am

the one keeping the Storm at

Bay you think you cry imagine what

token’s doing in his grave this is just

bad writing set the lore aside in the

context of the show why in the hell

would Kell bimor do anything with Sauron

what in the first season even hinted

that this dude would side with the Enemy

sure he’s got desires to be as important

as a legendary fanor but there’s nothing

to suggest that Kell bbor is so

desperate that he team up with Sauron

that just makes him look incredibly

stupid and if I judge this decision

based on the first season’s writing I

know this won’t get explained

and to make it worse within the context

of the show we’ve seen that saon is a

master Craftsman and has no need for

Kell rimbor we saw sauron’s Old Forge in

the Pro season why would he need Kell

bmore to make more rings of power when

he can make them himself if Sauron could

take on any shape why wouldn’t he pick

one that no one would recognize and then

show up with rings to give to dwarves

and Men the only logical explanation is

that people would be more likely to

trust Kell bmore but couldn’t Sauron

just put on Kell bmb’s form when he

handed out the Rings do you you see the

mess the showrunners created they didn’t

need to write themselves into this hole

and now there’s no way to fix it that

won’t just make things worse speaking of

which you think it was only you who put

yourself in my

power gri what does that even mean is he

implying that he was psychically

manipulating her and she just couldn’t

tell I mean I wouldn’t be surprised she

is the dumbest woman in the world but in

the books gadriel wouldn’t even talked

to anotar and kept telling the elves to

have nothing to do with him so much that

he went full mean girls and started

trashing her behind her back to turn the

elves against her irony of ironies the

whole point of that part of the story is

that the elves don’t listen to gadriel

that easily fits into the whole men

don’t respect strong women TR people

love to play on imagine having the

original story be about a woman who’s

literally the wisest person in the land

and none but two of the men will listen

to her and as a result they all meet

therein and then scrapping that to make

her a strong woman who gets into sword

fights but it’s too stupid to realize

she’s been ping around with the villain

she’s hunted for hundreds of years the

showrunners literally had the thing they

wanted in the real story and they just

let it go so when people ask why you

going to watch the show if you don’t

like it that’s why everyone loves to see

a train wreck and this is one of the

biggest train wrecks Hollywood has ever

made this bad boy didn’t just derail it

laid down new tracks built by AC cross

to see this because it must be seen to

be believed I thought the Shadow of

Mordor Games took Liberties I had no

idea how bad it could get every writer

and wouldbe showrunner needs to watch

this show to learn what not to do when

adapting the story we’re going to get to

see how the showrunners deal with the

mess they made or really just make it

worse and we’ll get to see all those

rings of power fans who’ve been silent

for 2 years spring back to life like

dwarves out of stone it’s your favorite

show that you never talk about yeah most

beloved show ever never speaks a word

about it sounds totally plausible but
