The Trailer for Disney’s Controversial Live-Action ‘Snow White’ Leaks Online

Rachel Zegler Talks About the 'Snow White' Backlash

Disney has been having a great time adapting its beloved animation classics into live-action films, as everyone is aware. Some of these movies – The Jungle BookThe Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King, to name a few – were hits, while others were failures that Disney probably wants to forget.

Still, despite the mixed reactions overall and the fans’ desire for more original content, the company is still producing live-action remakes of the same plots that we have already seen.

The upcoming Snow White adaption that is slated to star Rachel Zegler is one of the more controversial among these adaptations. The film has already drawn criticism for a number of reasons, including the way the Dwarves are portrayed, the visual effects, and the choice of the main actress, whose personal opinions have often caused a lot of public discussion.

Still, Disney is moving on with the project, and while everything points to the film flopping, we might just get surprised in the end; who knows? Be that as it may, the upcoming trailer for the movie has just leaked online, and we have it here for you!

Well, as usual, we assume that you’re here for the trailer, so before we reveal anything else, here is the trailer for you (since this is just a leak, this is the best version we managed to find as of the time of writing):

As you can see, the trailer’s quality is solid, and as far as we can tell from this leak, there’s nothing overly problematic with the adaptation.

Yet. Of course, Disney probably won’t put the most important and controversial scenes in the trailer, but we believe that a lot of people expected this to look worse, we can truly confirm that this looks fairly good – not Oscar-level, but pretty decent.

Nothing else has been released, but we know from before that Zegler and Gal Gadot are set to star, and it seems that the movie is going to rely a lot on the musical aspect, which will be further enhanced by Zegler, who already has experience in musicals.

It is unknown whether Gadot will have a singing role as well. As for the music, the film is expected to be a mix of numbers like “Whistle While You Work” and a lot of new songs from duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, best known for Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman.

The movie is coming out on March 21, 2025, in theaters.
