It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for.

Well, that CD Projekt RED fans have been waiting for: The Witcher 4 will be a massive game.

Not only will it deliver a substantially sized experience, CD Projekt RED has confirmed it’ll be “better, bigger, greater” than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

That’s already a huge promise to make, yet CDPR didn’t stop there – they told Eurogamer that The Witcher 4 will be “better than Cyberpunk”.

Though, to clarify, that comment is seemingly in reference to the issues that Cyberpunk 2077 originally launched with.

The memories of that dark time still persist, as demonstrated by the growing concern among fans.

No one wants to see the mistakes of the past repeated, however, they fear it’ll happen regardless.

Hopefully, they’re wrong.

We won’t know for sure until several years from now, and this is despite the game now entering the “full-scale production phase”.

Unfortunately, this means that not only will our excitement grow, so too will the niggling doubts we have about The Witcher 4.

We’ve all seen what’s been happening with the GTA VI fandom, so expect similar anxieties and hopes here.

Even in spite of the pressure placed on it, CDPR is as optimistic as ever about the next Witcher instalment.

“With new challenges just around the corner, it’s the talented and hard-working people who make me believe we can together make the upcoming Witcher Saga a remarkable experience. No stopping now! Stay tuned for what’s on the other side of the coin!”

Fortunately, there’s a new Witcher inspired quest in Skyrim that sees these two different worlds collide.

We have a sneaking suspicion that if you like The Witcher 3, you likely enjoyed Skyrim too.

If that’s not the case, fear not, for there’s also another gruesome experience inspired by The Witcher to sink your teeth into.

In short, despite being years away from the new Witcher title, there’s much to celebrate, and much to play while we wait.
