The most hated characters of The Walking Dead eventually met their brutal end.

The Walking Dead is partly a show about the not-so-nice side of humanity, — about how people reveal their true colors when things get tough. It’s pretty satisfying to see most of the no-good characters eventually get their comeuppance, leaving us feeling pretty satisfied.

Gareth

Yes, that Gareth, the leader of Terminus. This guy promised sanctuary but delivered a cannibalistic nightmare. He had a twisted sense of morality, justifying his actions as a means of survival.

But when you’re serving up Bob’s leg as a BBQ, you know karma’s going to bite back. And it did, thanks to Rick and his group.

Simon

Simon was Negan’s right-hand man and was known for his ruthless and unpredictable nature. He was responsible for some heinous acts, including the massacre of the Scavengers.

His thirst for power and control eventually led to his downfall. When he tried to overthrow Negan, it didn’t end well for him. Let’s just say Negan made sure Simon stayed “upright” after their little confrontation.

Gregory

Gregory, the cowardly leader of the Hilltop, was more interested in preserving his own skin than looking out for his community. His constant scheming and betrayal, especially against Maggie, made him quite the unlikable character.

Maggie’s decision to execute him sent a clear message about leadership and justice.

Dan (Claimer)

Dan was part of Joe’s group, the Claimers. They lived by a simple rule: “Claimed.” While all of them are not good people, Dan was particularly disgusting, given what he tried to do to Carl.

His intentions were clear, and they were far from good. Rick, being the protective dad he is, went into full-on defense mode, and let’s just say, Dan didn’t end up too well.

The Governor

Last but certainly not least, The Governor. The eye-patch-wearing leader of Woodbury had a facade of being a caring leader, but beneath that was a man capable of unspeakable acts.

His actions led to many deaths, including beloved characters like Hershel. His final showdown with Rick’s group resulted in his demise. However, some fans believe he got away too easily when Tara’s sister just shot him. They believe he should have been torn apart by walkers.
