Tom Holland and Zendaya are one of Hollywood’s most popular couples right now. They met on the set of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, and since then, they’ve built both successful careers and a strong relationship.

It’s tough for them to appear in public without attracting attention, and sometimes, stepping in to handle the crowds is needed.

Recently, Fandomwire shared a video showing Zendaya surrounded by pushy paparazzi. The situation quickly became tense as she was nearly engulfed by the crowd.

Holland stepped in, deciding it was time to “rescue” his girlfriend from the unwanted attention, proving he’s a hero both on and off the screen.

This is likely a familiar situation for the couple.

Their relationship became public in July 2017, as they reportedly started dating while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming. Zendaya shared how she first met Tom Holland in an interview with Variety:

He says when we first met it was super awkward because he went for a handshake and I went for a hug. But I don’t remember that. I thought it was cool. I was worried because he’s so much shorter than me, I was like, ‘Damn it! It’s going to be weird because I’m super tall.’ But then we ended up doing the audition sitting. So that was good.

Their on-screen kiss in Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019 thrilled fans, and by July 2021, their relationship was confirmed when they were spotted kissing in a car. Since then, they’ve kept things low-key, staying out of the spotlight while supporting each other on social media and at events.

As of October 2024, they’re still going strong, with their relationship described as rock-solid. Here’s hoping it stays that way!
