Agatha All Along, the most recent MCU smash series, is now doing wonderfully, as you are undoubtedly already aware, with both fans and critics appreciating the WandaVision spin-off series.
As you may know, the first two episodes of the series debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. The last seven episodes of the show will air once a week until November 6, when it concludes.
Agatha All Along‘s Episode 4, “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You,” was released yesterday to mostly positive reactions, it also raised many questions, and fans around the Internet are wondering what they actually saw in the episode.
One of the more interesting aspects of the latest episode was a new character that was introduced to the lore of Agatha All Along. The character’s name is Vertigo, and in this article, you will find out who she is and what her exact role in the story is.
Agatha All Along is slowly expanding its world. The series has recently introduced the Salem Seven, a group of very powerful witches whose main target—for now—is Agatha Harkness.
Rio Vidal seems to be an ally of theirs. As far as the series is concerned, as you’ve seen, details about the Salem Seven and Vertigo are scarce, but we are going to provide you with as much information as we can from the comics to prepare you for what might be coming.
In the comics, Vertigo is one of the more prominent and powerful members of the Salem Seven. She is an extremely powerful witch and her main power is inducing strong vertigos in her targets. She has also proven herself to be a very potent magic user.
She was introduced to the franchise as a member of the Salem Saven, a group founded by Nicholas Scratch, and was actually the latter’s daughter, which means that she is – in the comics – Agatha’s granddaughter.
She had a role in overthrowing Agatha, but she was later killed in the comics, only to end up being revived and becoming a “normal” character, not a villain.
Having said this, we don’t really know how Agatha All Along will be handling her story and h we could see some significant changes (especially seeing how Nicholas Scratch is dead in the MCU, supposedly), but this is the gist of it and we’re sure that – regardless of the scope of the changes – the writers will draw from her story comic book story a bit.
Be that as it may, Vertigo will probably make an appearance later in the series as well, so we decided to inform you about the character a bit ahead of the upcoming episodes.
