“Agatha All Along” recently debuted its first two episodes, setting the stage for several key characters in the MCU’s future. With its focus on witchcraft, the show has hinted at potential introductions of figures like Blackheart, Mephisto, and Hulkling.
However, one character that was teased in “WandaVision” and now appears to be among the most dangerous is Agatha’s pet rabbit, Señor Scratchy.
Señor Scratchy first appeared in “WandaVision” Episode 2 when Agatha gave him to Wanda for her magic act at Westview’s talent show, intended to raise funds for Westview Elementary School. Although Scratchy has featured in several episodes, his role has been minor—until now, potentially changing with new theories emerging.
In “Agatha All Along,” Episode 1, a scene shows Agatha, who is struggling with her identity, exploring a child’s room decorated with occult symbols. One name, “Nicholas Scratch,” is visible in the room. In the comics, Nicholas Scratch is Agatha’s son with a dark history. He and Agatha were part of New Salem, a hidden witch town, where he ultimately betrayed her and attempted to even execute her. Nicholas was exiled to the Dark Realm, later aligning with Mephisto, who is rumored to appear in the series.
Theories suggest that Joe Locke’s character might be Nicholas Scratch, despite hints indicating he is Billy Maximoff aka Wiccan. Another possibility is that Señor Scratchy could be Agatha’s son, transformed into a rabbit by a spell gone awry. This theory is supported by the prominent presence of the rabbit in the show, despite his limited role so far. There may also be a connection to Rio Vidal, as Aubrey Plaza hinted at a complex past between Agatha and the Green Witch.
