Agatha All Along is the upcoming MCU series spinning off from the hit show WandaVision. The series has changed its name so many times before the current one and we’re honestly surprised that it managed to stick to this one until the premiere. Be that as it may, the series finally premiered on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, with two episodes, while the remaining seven episodes will be released weekly until November 6, concluding the series.
We already know that Kathryn Hahn, who is reprising her role from WandaVision, will dominate the series as Agatha Harkness, but we will undoubtedly see several other noteworthy MCU characters, some of which we have discussed in other rumors-focused reports. However, since the casting was revealed, one character in particular—Joe Locke’s the Teen—has piqued the interest of fans.
And while we have recently reported how the trailers might have accidentally revealed the Teen’s identity, the series is still doing everything it can to maintain the mystery and to have us wait for the official revelation. In order to do that, the Teen is unable to say his name in the series and in this report, we are going to discuss why that is.
As you know, the Teen, and we will be calling him that for a little while longer, it seems, is one of the most intriguing characters of the whole series. Actor Joe Locke is great in the role, and he personally has commented on the show and his character, sparking additional interest among the fans. And while the series is officially listing him as “the Teen,” if you remember, this happened recently:
The subtitles for several languages in the official trailer for ‘AGATHA ALL ALONG’ appear to indicate that Joe Locke’s character is named “Billy” 👀

The fans had been speculating about the Teen’s identity for a while, and most fans still claim that he is Billy Maximoff, i.e., Wiccan, Wanda’s son. The subtitles on the trailers seemingly confirmed this, and while fans were sure that the series would quickly confirm this – and explore his existence – it did not play out like that.
Namely, the series is still keeping the Teen’s identity a secret, and while we would be surprised if the Teen turns out to be anyone other than Wiccan (the timeline fits, the leaks seemingly confirmed it, both characters are gay, etc. – there’s just too much pointing in that direction), the series wants to keep the mystery alive.
And that is the out-of-universe reason why the Teen is unable to say his name at this point. But what about the in-universe one? Well, the series hasn’t officially confirmed it, but the most likely reason is that he is under a spell or curse of some sort. This explains the mysterious letter that appears in his mouth, as well as the fact that the thing he cannot do is really too specific for it to be anything other than a spell. Which one? The series will likely reveal that soon!
