After three seasons, treasure-obsessed Big John and gold-craving Ward Cameron have truly reached the end of their roads. There’s no doubt about that, but Season 4 of Outer Banks has brought back the majority of the beloved characters. However, there is one specific character who vanished into thin air and Outer Banks fans are looking for answers. Sarah’s little sister is the character in question, as Wheezie was a rather constant part of the show. Without further ado, let’s find out where Sarah’s little sister is.
Who Is Wheezie in Outer Banks?
Outer Banks WikiLouisa Cameron, who is much better known by her nickname Wheezie, is one of Outer Banks’ recurring characters, and she is played by Julia Antonelli. As the youngest out of the infamous Ward Camerons’ three children, Wheezie was always somewhat in the shadow of her bigger sister Sarah, and the oldest in the round, Rafe, but at the same time she certainly knew how to play her cards. Born a Kook, Wheezie always enjoyed the wealthy side of things, and it’s safe to say that she was a tiny bit spoiled.
Wheezie is definitely a prime example of an annoying little sister, especially when it comes to the reputation of Sarah in the first season of Outer Banks. She causes drama between Sarah and Topper by making him think that Sarah is going to cheat on him, but at the same time, when she has a drink for the first time, Wheezie needs Sarah’s help. It has been obvious from the very beginning that Wheezie and Sarah don’t fully get along, and that there is some jealousy boiling between them.
In general, Wheezie seemed to have a better relationship with Rafe, since Sarah had always been their father’s favorite, his little princess. The oldest and youngest siblings were able to bond over that fact, although it did add some more bad blood to their strained connection with Sarah. After the shocking Outer Banks mid-season twist, there is definitely not much more family drama the Pogues can handle, but, let’s be honest, there is always something and Wheezie could be involved as well.
Where Is Wheezie in Outer Banks?
Wheezie has been the target of her family’s manipulation on numerous occasions. Whether it was Ward convincing her that he locked Sarah in her room for her own good, Sarah manipulating her multiple times to help her, Rose sugar-coating the fact that she drugged Sarah, or Rafe telling her that John B shot Sheriff Peterkin, Wheezie basically grew up surrounded by manipulation. Justice for Wheezie should become a new Outer Banks social media movement because she was constantly left out and was merely dragged along under some cover. Keeping this pattern in mind, it would probably not be too far-fetched if Wheezie is strongly influenced by Rose at this point.
Episode 1 of Outer Banks’ Season 4 reveals that Rose fled the OBX together with Wheezie for a disturbing reason, explaining why Wheezie isn’t staying with her siblings on Kildare Island anymore. After the Pogues return from their wild trip discovering El Dorado, Sarah and Rose have a heated phone call. During the call, it not only becomes clear that Rose took Wheezie with her and forbids any contact with Sarah, but it is also obvious that Rose thinks Sarah killed her own father.
It’s not entirely clear where the two are, but since they previously went to Guadeloupe with Ward to start a new life, chances are high that they went back to the same place. Since Rose’s stance is firm, and she is fixated on her theory, it could easily be that Wheezie believes the same thing and holds Sarah responsible for the tragic loss of her father. After all, Rose was with Wheezie during the entire time that the Pogues, Sarah, and her father spent in South America, and was there for her when no one else was.
Rafe Might Bring Wheezie Back to the OBX
The second part of Outer Banks Season 4 will bring some surprising connections (Spoiler Alert!), as Rafe will join sides with the Pogues during one of their adventures. On top of that, the first part of the new OBX season already hinted at the fact that Rafe wants to bring the Cameron siblings back together and build a stronger relationship with Sarah and Wheezie again. This could potentially mean that the youngest Cameron sibling will be brought back to Figure 8 by Rafe, because, let’s be honest, Wheezie isn’t the character Outer Banks needs to get rid of, but someone entirely else.
Even though Sarah’s little sister is only a side character, Outer Banks without Wheezie just doesn’t feel right. Everyone got so used to the little Cameron girl, and it would be interesting to see her after this 18-month time jump. Hopefully, there will be some insights into how Wheezie navigated through her father’s loss and where she stands now. The second part of Outer Banks Season 4 will be released on November 7, and maybe, hopefully, it will have a much-needed update on Wheezie’s situation and her relationship with her siblings. Outer Banks is available to stream on Netflix.
