Brad Pitt and George Clooney may be closest friends, but their significant others are not as close. According to an informant, Amal Clooney “isn’t impressed” by Brad’s new partner, jewelry designer Ines de Ramon.
“She thinks Ines doesn’t really work that hard in the jewelry business and tries to be someone that she’s not. She considers her a social climber out to snag a rich man,” an unnamed insider told In Touch.

The source added that Ines began dating the “Babylon” actor just a couple of months after her divorce from Paul Wesley. “Amal just hopes Brad’s careful and doesn’t move too fast,” the informant stated.

Ines is said to be feeling the chill. “She’s tried for Brad’s sake to be friendly but all she’s getting is the brush-off. She knows how close Brad is to George, so she’s not making a big deal of it — she’s not stupid,” the tipster went on.

For starters, Brad has been seeing Ines, a jewelry designer, since late 2022. Following his divorce from Angelina Jolie in September 2016, the “Troy” actor has been linked to various women, including Emily Ratajkowski and Nicole Poturalski.

Although celebrities such as Martha Stewart, Regina Hall, and Quinta Brunson have publicly expressed their desire for the Oscar winner, Brad currently has a “good thing going” with Ines.

The pair were first sighted together in November 2022, with insiders telling PEOPLE that they’d been dating for “a few months.”

After three years of marriage, Ines and her ex-husband, “The Vampire Diaries” star Paul Wesley, secretly separated in 2022. The jewelry designer apparently met Brad through a mutual friend, and the two hit it off so well that the actor invited her to several high-profile parties and encouraged her to move into his Los Angeles home.

When Brad turned 60 on December 18, Ines joined him and his buddies for a “very low key” party while he was taking a break from filming his racing feature, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. After they celebrated his birthday together, a source told PEOPLE that the actor “seems more relaxed than before” and that the couple is “very comfortable” together.

“He’s certainly more at ease than he has been in the past few years,” a source familiar with the matter said. In February, when Brad presented Bradley Cooper with the Outstanding Performer of the Year award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Ines was by his side. Photos from the evening were released by HELLO! show the couple seated side by side in the crowd.

A source told PEOPLE that when Brad stepped up after skipping the red carpet, the crowd “went crazy with excitement”. “He seemed to be in very good spirits onstage when he presented the award to Bradley and poked fun at his friend, joking that he was just here for the free trip to Santa Barbara,” a person familiar with the matter said.

According to multiple accounts, Brad and Ines live together in the actor’s house. However, the jewelry boss has not completely abandoned her former abode.

“It’s pretty recent. They are going very strong and she is happier than ever,” one source claimed.

Brad Pitt has yet to comment on the claims that George Clooney’s wife, Amal, is not impressed by Ines de Ramon.
