Country star Scotty McCreery set a man ‘Damn Strait’ seeing him hit a woman in the audience at his concert.

McCreery was playing a set at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday. Seconds into his performance, which began with his hit song “It Matters To Her”, he noticed an altercation in the crowd.

He immediately stopped the show, yelling, “‘Hey, hey, hey! Right here, right here, that’s a lady you just hit, sir.”

McCreery alerted authorities to the incident calling, “‘Absolutely not, you just hit the lady. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get the heck out of here.”

“On God’s green earth. At a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing?” he added. “Whoever you are, that’s the definition of a coward, hitting a lady. Get the heck out of here.”

Scotty McCreery Blasts Man Who Hit A Woman At His Show

After Scotty McCreery pointed out what had happened and directed members of the audience to identify the man, the assailant was escorted out of the event.

“Y’all let the cop know who hit the lady. That’s absolutely unacceptable,” video shows the “Five More Minutes” singer directing.

Colorado State Fair officials confirmed the incident in a statement to USA Today.

“We can confirm that an incident took place at the Scotty McCreery concert where a man assaulted a woman and the performer stopped the show, they said. “This incident is still under investigation and we cannot comment further.”

A Devout Christian Not Ashamed Of His Faith

Scotty McCreery is a devout Christian who is “not ashamed” of his faith.

He burst onto the music scene at the age of 17 when he won the tenth season of “American Idol” in 2011.

He became the first country artist and the youngest male artist to debut his album, “Clear as Day,” at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The album included an explicitly Christian song titled “Old King James,” which dwells on a Bible being passed down for generations.

This platinum-certified album marked the beginning of a prolific career.

Despite the early success, McCreery faced significant challenges when he was dropped by his record label in 2016.

He turned around with the independent release of “Five More Minutes,” which not only charted without label backing but also became his first No. 1 hit.

It was the first song released without a record label to ever chart on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Top 50.
