American Idol season 20 winner and country singer Noah Thompson tried to book some new gigs after he was dropped by his record label in May 2024. Noah won American Idol season 20 in 2022 after auditioning for the show with no prior performance experience. After Noah was dropped by his record label, 19 Entertainment, in June 2024, he announced that he was going to continue his music career as an independent artist. Noah proudly announced that a song that he co-wrote, “Front Door Famous,” was included on country music superstar Luke Combs’ latest album, Fathers & Sons.
“Can’t wait to see y’all out there.”
In an Instagram post, Noah said that he was “excited” about adding some new dates to his fall tour. He told fans, “If anybody on here is interested in booking me for anything, I mean like a venue, private party, etc., whatever, anything in that nature,” they should fill out a booking form on his Instagram page. Noah concluded the post by saying, “Can’t wait to see y’all out there.”
According to Noah‘s official website, he has a few upcoming gigs. They include performing at the Mobilize Recovery Tour Bus Kickoff on September 20 in Los Angeles, California; September 30 in Castle Rock, Colorado, and Denver, Colorado; and October 5 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He’ll also be performing at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center in Mt Vernon, Kentucky, on November 22.
If anybody on here is interested in booking me for anything, I mean like a venue, private party, etc., whatever, anything in that nature, fill out this booking form down here. Can’t wait to see y’all out there.
What Noah Thompson’s Tour Update Means For His Career
Noah Wants To Continue Performing
Although Noah wants to continue his music career as an independent artist, the fact that he’s asking his Instagram followers to book him for private parties could mean that it’s been more challenging for him than he thought it would be. American Idol doesn’t seem to be behind him anymore, and he’s going to have a tough time breaking into the country music scene on his own. However, he’s already collaborated with Luke Combs, so that’s a good sign that he has the potential to be successful.
Our Take On Noah Thompson’s Tour Update
Noah Deserves More From American Idol
Custom image by César GarcíaAmerican Idol no longer does a great job of promoting its winners and finalists. In the FOX era of the show, the cross-country tour that followed the season gave the contestants incredible exposure and allowed them to connect with fans in a more personal way. In the ABC era of American Idol, the winners are all but forgotten shortly after their victories. They make occasional appearances on TV shows, but it’s nothing like the phenomenon that it was when Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood won American Idol.
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
Noah deserves more than this from American Idol, which made a big deal out of how Noah was the definition of what the show was about: an undiscovered talent plucked from obscurity to become a superstar. However, just two years later, Noah is on Instagram asking his fans to book him for gigs. His lack of experience in the music industry could be a contributing factor. Noah is a very talented singer and songwriter, so hopefully he’ll find success in the country music world. He is a true American Idol who deserves nothing but the best.
