Angelina Jolie’s Social Life Has Gone Downhill Since The Divorce

Jolie has spoken on the topic of her social life since her divorce a number of times. In an interview with Marie Claire, she shared that she only has “a few girlfriends,” and that she doesn’t get out much since the divorce.

“I just…I stay home a lot,” she said. “I’m just not very social. I don’t do a lot with [my girlfriends], and I’m very homebound.”

In a different interview for Wall Street Journal, she said that her six children, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, who she shares with Brad Pitt, are her closest relationships. “My children have always been my close friends,” she told the publication. “They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends. We’re seven very different people, which is our strength.”

In the same interview, she admitted that she doesn’t “really have a social life,” and according to some insider sources who spoke to Ok! magazine, Jolie blames Pitt for this.

“Angie’s livid over being painted the bad guy while Brad is portrayed as a victim,” the source says of their messy, ongoing divorce. “Even with all the facts, their peers are siding with him. It makes her sick that people in Hollywood can be such hypocrites.”

This source also confirmed what the 48-year-old actress admitted to WSJ. “Angie has no close ties to Hollywood,” the insider continued. “She’d rather be at her home in Cambodia, working with refugees,” and she plans to jet back there as soon as her kids turn of legal age. However, with their numerous ongoing court battles, it’s unlikely that Jolie will be able to leave the country any time soon. Looks like she’s going to have to stick it out with the Hollywood stars!
