Selena Gomez made major headlines for spending the Fourth of July with boyfriend Benny Blanco. Winding down last week, the 31-year-old singer chilled out over Independence Day, showing off a cute sundress and seemingly with beau Benny unable to keep his hands off her. Sharing social media snaps of her holiday, Selena reminded fans that she and 36-year-old Benny are going strong, but not everyone was keen. In a cute PDA that showed Benny wrapping his arms around the “Love On” shitmaker, Benny had his hands on Selena’s chest, something that some fans found “distasteful.” It’s also not the first time he’s done it.

Posting to her Instagram Stories and with Benny doing the same, Selena hung out from a backyard terrace as she modeled a white strapless sundress with embroidered heart and floral detailing. Showing off her healthy curves in summer mode, the Rare Beauty founder sat at a table and backed by shrubbery, smiling in her flowing maxi number and with Benny wrapping his arms around her.

The affectionate moment was getting a little hot and heavy, though. Producer and songwriter Benny clasped his hands around the right side of Selena Gomez’s chest, keeping things light, but nonetheless gaining comments. Selena, who wore a white headband to match her dress, sent the camera a happy smile, something that was also picked up on as ET documented the moment on its Instagram.

Over 1,000 fans agreed when a user wrote: “Can u not show affection without the hands being on the chest.. it’s distasteful..” Appearing to think the same, another said: “I agree.” That said, some were fine with it.

‘They Obviously Have No Issue’

Defending both Selena and Benny, a further fan jumped in to say: “Says you. Don’t do it if you don’t like it. They obviously have no issues with it.” The sentiment manifested elsewhere in the comments, though, as one fan used a gasp-face emoji to ask: “Why does he always touch selena’s chest in the picture?”

Selena did have some fans thinking she looks happier than ever, however. The pop star, who stripped down to a $99 yellow swimsuit for some more Fourth of July fun with Benny, had one fan saying: “I love how happy she is with him. That’s the most important thing.”

Wants To Marry Her

Benny has even revealed that Selena Gomez is likely the one for him. Earlier this year, he told The Howard Stern Show that both marriage and kids are on his agenda as he continues his 2023-commenced romance with the star.
