Brad Pitt Had the Final Laugh After Fans and Experts Booed His Movie at Venice Film Festival

With his huge plethora of movies and shows, Brad Pitt can easily be considered one of Hollywood’s finest actors. While initially struggling to establish himself as an actor, Pitt is currently among the highest-paid actors in the world of Tinsel Town.

However, with popularity comes several challenges and criticisms. For Pitt, it was the cult classic Fight Club, which garnered a lukewarm reception from the public when it was released in 1999.

Based on the outstanding literature of Chuck Palahniuk, the movie showcases the Bullet Train actor in a different light; however, even that was not enough to keep the spectators interested, and the movie gathered quite a lot of booing when it debuted at the Venice Film Festival in 1999, but Brad Pitt had a different reaction.

While people are now open to new thoughts and ideas employed in movies, this was not the case more than two decades ago, when people had a more conservative view of cinema. This was one of several reasons that the movie created under the directorial vision of David Fincher failed at the box office and faced criticism for being irresponsible.

The biggest benefit of Caine becoming the new John Wick franchise lead and replacing Keanu Reeves’ assassin comes with Donnie Yen himself. He is a world-famous martial arts movie star who has all the necessary skills to fill the void left by Reeves. The John Wick movies thrive on practical action and fight sequences, and whoever the films follow must live up to Reeves’ standard. John Wick 4 proved Yen is more than capable of doing just that, but his even greater martial arts expertise also opens the door for the franchise to expand and be better.

Ana de Armas, Laurence Fishburne, and Halle Berry all have various cases to be made for why they could be great stars in standalone films in the franchise. Yet, none of them are on Yen’s level in terms of being an established martial arts action movie lead. All those other spinoffs can work within the established universe, but they could struggle to truly recapture the magic of Reeves’ installments. If Keanu Reeves does fully move on from the franchise, Donnie Yen is the best choice for who can keep the John Wick franchise alive and well.

It got booed. It wasn’t playing well at all. Brad turns and looks at me says, ‘That’s the best movie I’m ever gonna be in.’ He was so happy.

Further, Norton recalled that the Troy actor was positively thrilled and cheery throughout the screening. Whether Fight Club would be a golden feather in Pitt’s success hat or not is still debatable.

However, one thing is certain: his popularity among the general public, particularly Jacob Elordi.

Jacob Elordi recalls having a crush on Brad Pitt

Starting his cinematic career with The Kissing Booth, Jacob Elordi quickly rose to the ranks of Hollywood’s heartthrob. While his burly ‘bad boy jock’ character won everyone over, his off-screen persona was also something that the audience quickly caught up on.

While the fanatics have been crushing over the actor ever since his initial movie, the actor, on the other hand, revealed his celebrity crush to be Brad Pitt.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in 2023 (via Entertainment Tonight), the actor was asked about his first crush, to which he responded-

Brad Pitt. I think in Troy. That’s a beautiful man. There’s just no denying it.

While the comment surprised many, there’s no disputing that Brad Pitt nailed the character of Achilles, the famous Greek warrior in Troy.
