During the filming and release of the final season of the series, the actor and Rachel Green actress, Jennifer Aniston, were married to each other. However, it would seem that he prioritized the fan side of himself.

Being one of the lead actresses of the series, it is not surprising that Aniston was emotional on her final days on the set of the hit series. Despite this, Pitt refused to be by her side during the difficult time because he was also a fan of the show.

Brad Pitt Wanted No Spoilers

On top of making an appearance as Will Colbert in season eight of FRIENDS, Brad Pitt was also a very big fan of the series. So much so, that he did not want the finale ruined for him, even though his wife was going to star in it. Writer David Crane once gave an interview (via New York Post), where he revealed that even though Aniston asked him to come to set for the finale, Brad Pitt refused. His reasoning for such treason was quite simple; he did not want to spoil the ending of the series before it even aired. He also told his wife not to tell him anything about how the show ended for the same reason.

It’s safe to assume that Brad Pitt was a hardcore fan of FRIENDS, and he had his priorities straight.
