LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears, 42, recently shared a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, July 13, revealing her desire to regain her “confidence and consistency” following her divorce from Sam Asghari.

The pop icon included a throwback dance video from September 2023, where she grooved to Madonna’s ‘I’m Addicted’ in her living room.

In her candid message, Spears acknowledged the need to slow down and reflect on the past year, admitting to having had a “false confidence” post-divorce.

“I guess I need to brace myself and slow down and recap the past year because I think I had a false confidence after my divorce,” Spears wrote, alongside the clip of her dancing to Madonna’s ‘I’m Addicted’ in her living room.

“Although I did post some of my best work with ‘Ray of Light’ and ‘I’m Addicted’ by Madonna !!! There was a lot of WTF moments !!! Trust me I know we’re all human and make mistakes !!!”

Britney Spears, who separated from Sam Asghari in August after more than a year of marriage, expressed in a recent post that she apologizes “for not being perfect.”

“I literally need to go back and adjust and possibly do a couple more therapy sessions,” she continued.

“I apologize for not being perfect and I will try and get confidence and consistency back like I used to have !!!”

Spears and Asghari separated in August 2023 after more than a year of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Asghari, 30, reflected positively on their time together, describing it as “a blessing” and emphasizing his commitment to speak kindly about their relationship, despite their separation.

“It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,” Asghari told PEOPLE in March.

Recently, Spears has been reconnecting with her passion for dance, sharing videos of herself dancing to tracks like Foster the People’s ‘Pumped Up Kicks,’ Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ and J Balvin and Willy William’s ‘Mi Gente.’

She admitted in a post featuring the J Balvin song that it was her first time dancing in nine months.

Aside from her dance videos, Spears has also been giving fans glimpses into her personal life. Her Instagram posts have included inspirational quotes, highlights from her recent trip to Greece, and a charming video of her small white dog, Snow, whom she welcomed into her life during her divorce last year.

Spears’ relationship with Soliz, who was initially hired as a cleaner and handyman, had been tumultuous. Despite initial accusations that Soliz was working with paparazzi against her, their relationship grew more intimate over the past few months.

Soliz’s past has been controversial. According to reports from the Daily Mail, he is the father of at least nine children and is currently being pursued for child support by their mothers and the Los Angeles Department for Child Support Services (DCSS).
