Conor McGregor appears to have set himself a drinking deadline ahead of his training camp for his fight against Michael Chandler at UFC.
McGregor’s long-awaited return to the octagon after three years away was finally confirmed by Dana White last weekend.
He’ll be back on June 29 and indicated a commitment to living clean on social media.
In a post to American pop star Justin Bieber, McGregor wrote: ‘My brother, the Mac has your back for life! From Beverly Hills to the Bahamas! See you in Vegas bro, it’s game on, the Mac is back! Five more nights on the delicious and then that be that see ya’s tonight IM NOT F***ING LEAVING.’
McGregor produces his own alcohol in Proper No 12 whisky and Forged stout, which he regularly markets online.

McGregor hinted he will be dry in the build-up to his fight against Michael Chandler
If his ‘delicious’ remark is interpreted to be those beverages then it will be a dry few weeks ahead of his welterweight clash.
Chandler has patiently waited for the announcement since coaching against the Irishman in last summer’s series of The Ultimate Fighter.
He’s seen McGregor enjoy the high life, regularly seen with glass in hand but will finally have his chance for a bumper payday in June.
McGregor recently spoke to James Corden, saying: ‘God bless medical science. God bless my pockets, my net worth and, you know, being able to afford care at the highest, highest level. I had the best care.
‘I am ‘Terminator’ now. I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle. It’s unbreakable, so I have free reign to kick now, so I’m ready to go and I’m excited.
‘I wish for and I will work for landing this kick with this steel bar in my leg against an opponent and getting them out of there.’
Chandler, meanwhile, anticipates a quick night of work in what is likely to be the most watched MMA fight this year.
He said: ‘My Mystic Mike prediction is I finish him in the second round. Get him on his heels in the first round, make him second-guess himself in the first round, make him realise, “Dang, I probably should have just stayed rich and stayed out of the fight game”.
The Irishman’s long-awaited comeback to action will take place this summer at UFC 303
‘And I will start planting those seeds of doubts in the first round. By the end of the first round he will go back to his bench and go back to his corner huffing and puffing and realise that he’s about to meet his demise.’
Whether McGregor is the same fighter as he was in his prime or can recapture his best is very much up for debate.
But an emphatic victory over Chandler would tee up all manner of huge fights for ‘Notorious’ as he finally begins the next chapter of his fighting career.
