Bieber had partial facial paralysis. The musician later updated his fans via an Instagram story (via Today).

“I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome,” he said. “It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face.”

“I was in it. I made a decision,” she said. “I know for a fact that I’ve loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn’t do that to him. Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life, potentially. I’m not that type of a person. So I was going to stick it out no matter what the outcome was going to be.”

That said, according to Geo.TV, a source has shared the problems the Biebers are currently facing in their marriage. And how the Ramsay Hunt syndrome has changed their bond. “It put more pressure on the relationship. Justin tends to take things out on Hailey. It makes her want to give up — she doesn’t understand why marriage has to be this hard.” The publication also notes how, earlier this year, Justin was photographed without his wedding ring.

Despite the media’s facade, Justin and Hailey Bieber faced intense relationship issues behind closed doors.

Fans of the couple will remember they got married not long after rekindling their relationship. And their coupling has been plagued by reports of trouble in paradise. A claim from National Enquirer in 2023 (via The Sun) states that their marriage is “based on Justin’s childish needs, and it’s doomed. They got married very young and didn’t know what they were getting into, and it’s been up and down ever since.”
