Fans of the model spotted clues she was copying pop music star Sabrina Carpenter in a new selfie.

In a post shared on her Instagram Stories, Hailey, 27, shared a somber selfie of herself, using a filter to give herself blue eyes.

Just hours prior, her husband Justin, 30, followed Sabrina, 24 – who’s dating Irish film star Barry Keoghan – on Instagram.

Fans quickly linked Hailey’s filtered selfie to Sabrina’s natural baby blues and debated the meaning of the photo on Reddit.

“Copycat Hails. I’m 100% sure she saw that Justin started following Sabrina on Instagram and now all of a sudden she posts this really low-quality, boring picture of her with blue/green eyes… She is desperate!” one fan wrote.

“She’s very very very insecure,” said a second social media user.

“Hahahah that didn’t take long she’s already trying to be Sabrina,” wrote a third fan, along with laughing emojis.

“She’s about to dye her hair blonde watch lmao,” another fan predicted.

“At least she’s moved on from copying Selena,” said a fifth, referring to Justin’s ex Selena Gomez, 31.

Some fans linked Hailey’s new photo to her behavior toward Selena, after speculation that Hailey went brunette to look more like the singer.

Hailey and Justin got married in September 2018, after Justin finally put an end to his on-and-off relationship with Selena.

Justin and Selena’s romance lasted from 2010 until 2018, but some fans claimed that Hailey stole Justin from Selena.

In September 2022, however, Hailey appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast and put an end to rumors of any overlap in her relationship.

“I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it,” she stated.

While fans think that Hailey is insecure in her relationship, an insider divulged that she and Justin were facing difficulties in their marriage.

They got married very young and didn’t know what they were getting into, and it’s been up and down ever since.

“He acts like a needy kid all the time and she’s constantly having to apologize for him and try to get him to act like an adult,” a source told Radar Online.

They added that Hailey is bored of Justin’s “needy kid tendencies” and “immature behavior,” after she was reportedly embarrassed by her husband during an event for her skincare and makeup brand, Rhode.

“[Their marriage is] based on Justin’s childish needs and it’s doomed,” a different source shared.

The celebrity insider concluded, “They got married very young and didn’t know what they were getting into, and it’s been up and down ever since.”
