The Rhode founder, 27, who is expecting her first child with husband Justin Bieber, admitted to W Magazine that she is not currently “super close” to her birth family.

Pregnant Hailey Bieber has ‘built my own family’ and distanced herself from the Baldwin clan

As per Daily Mail, Hailey Bieber is the daughter of designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin and actor Stephen Baldwin. She is also the niece of actor Alec Baldwin and cousin of Guess model Ireland Baldwin, whose mother is film icon Kim Basinger.

Clarifying that she is not lingering on the past, Hailey said, “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”

Although Hailey always recognized [it] was different,” she remembered having a “fairly normal childhood” with her widely recognized family.

The blonde explained, though, that she had “fond” recollections of her childhood. “I had a fairly normal childhood,” Hailey said.

She added: “Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different. But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories.”

The expecting celebrity clarified that she moved away from her family when she moved to New York City at the age of 17 to pursue her career as a model.

Hailey noted that at that time, she had to learn how to stand on her own two feet while all of her friends were leaving for college.

She explained: “I started traveling the world, making my own money. I got my own apartment and had to learn how to live on my own … That pushed me into adulthood kind of quickly.”

The model insisted in a 2018 Vogue Arabia interview that she had close ties with her family. “Being close to my own has helped me so much in this industry. It’s great to have those strong ties,” Hailey remarked at the time.

Baldwins have had a turbulent past year

Hailey did not mention any particular falling out, even though the Baldwins have had a turbulent year.

In February, authorities in Atlanta detained Hailey’s sister Alaia Baldwin, 31, on charges of simple assault, simple violence, battery, and criminal trespassing. She allegedly threw her used tampon at a bar staff while intoxicated, per Page Six.

Meanwhile, Alec, 66, was accused of involuntary manslaughter in connection with ‘Rust’ cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ 2021 shooting killing, which was eventually dismissed.

Furthermore, it is reported that Hailey got “pissed” at Stephen after he cryptically asked his Instagram followers to offer prayers for Justin and Hailey in February.

Hailey and Justin Bieber trying to savor remaining time together before baby arrives

Hailey confessed that she and ‘Peaches’ hitmaker Justin, 30, are merely attempting to savor their last time together before the arrival of their child.

“In the beginning [of pregnancy], it was super emotional for me. Like, ‘I love this human so much’,” Hailey exclaimed.

“How can I possibly bring someone else into this? I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”

The couple wed in a New York City courtroom ceremony in 2018. A year later, they went down the aisle once again in a more official ceremony attended by friends and family.

Back in May, the expecting beauty entrepreneur and her pop star husband shared a joint Instagram post announcing their first child together.

“Love you guys ❤️ blessed beyond words🙏🏼 praise God 👶🏼let’s get ready to have some fun y’all,” Hailey’s father Stephen, 58, said in the comment section of the post expressing his delight at becoming a grandfather.
