Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) is a model and socialite who managed to capture the affections of heartthrob Justin Bieber.

The model made her runway debut in 2014, walking for Topshop and French designer Sonia Rykiel. Hailey has appeared on the covers of Jalouse, Wonderland and Harper’s Bazaar, and modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana and more. In 2016, she walked in the “Big Four” fashion week events and has since launched a YouTube channel, as well as her own skincare brand called Rhode.

Hailey was first introduced to Justin in 2009 by her father, Stephen Baldwin, backstage at the Today show, but it wasn’t until 2015 that the two sparked romance rumors. The pair briefly dated from December 2015 to early 2016 and reunited again in June 2018. The couple secretly tied the knot in September 2018 at a New York City courthouse and held a second ceremony with friends and family in South Carolina a year later.

Since tying the knot, Hailey has been vocal about her desire to have children with Justin, but she had expressed concerns and mentioned they were in no rush.

“I want kids so bad, but I get scared,” she told The Sunday Times in May 2023. “It’s enough that people say things about my husband or friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”

The two continued to grow together, and in May 2024, they announced they are expecting their first child. Justin shared a series of photos via Instagram throughout the month of Hailey showing off her baby bump.

2005 to 2011

Hailey first appeared on TV in the 2005 documentary Livin It: Unusual Suspects with her family. In 2009, she was in an episode of Saturday Night Live with her uncle Alec Baldwin, and two years later, she played Cody Simpson’s love interest in his music video for “On My Mind.”

2014

Hailey made her runway debut in October walking for Topshop and French designer Sonia Rykiel. In December, she modeled for Love magazine.

2015

The model appeared in Vogue and Teen Vogue and shot her first magazine cover in April for Jalouse alongside male model Lucky Blue Smith. Later that month, Hailey appeared on the cover of the Dutch edition of L’Officiel and on Wonderland magazine. In July of that year she was featured in an ad for Ralph Lauren alongside Simpson and returned to the runway in October walking for Tommy Hilfiger and German designer Philipp Plein.

Hailey and Justin first sparked romance rumors in December 2015.

2016

Justin and Hailey called it quits in January 2016 after a month of dating. Hailey continued to model and walked for Moschino alongside supermodels Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman. The socialite became the face of Karl Lagerfeld’s limited edition clothing line “Love from Paris” and appeared in editorials for Glamour and Italian Vogue.

Starting in September, Hailey took part in the “Big Four” fashion week events. During New York Fashion Week, she walked for designers Tommy Hilfiger, Prabal Gurung, Jeremy Scott, Tory Burch and Matty Bovan. Hailey then appeared at a pre-London Fashion Week party at Stradivarius and walked for Julien Macdonald during the event. For Milan Fashion Week, she walked for Dolce & Gabbana and in Paris, walked for Elie Saab. In November, the model was featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar.

In addition to modeling, Hailey collaborated with The Daily Edited to promote a handbag collection labeled as #theHAILEYedited collection. She also collaborated with the UK footwear brand Public Desire.

2017

Hailey posed alongside fellow model Jon Kortajarena for the cover of Spanish Harper’s Bazaar. Starting in May, the socialite started hosting TBS’ Drop the Mic with rapper Method Man.

In October, romance rumors sparked between Hailey and singer Shawn Mendes when they were spotted together at her Halloween party. Two months later, a source told Us Weekly that the duo were officially an item.

2018

Hailey partnered with bareMinerals and became the face of the Power of Good campaign.

In May, the model and Mendes made their first public appearance together at the 2018 Met Gala donning custom Tommy Hilfiger outfits. The two split shortly after and Hailey reconciled with Justin in June. Justin and Hailey got engaged in July and secretly tied the knot in a courthouse wedding in September. The spouses officially confirmed their marriage one month later in October.

2019

In April, Levi’s announced the model would be the face of Levi’s 501 denim.

The Biebers held a second wedding ceremony in September attended by their friends and family, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Jaden Smith and Scooter Braun.

2020

Hailey appeared in the “Stuck with You” music video released in May. The collab between Justin and Ariana Grande featured clips of people during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and included endearing snippets of Hailey and Justin during quarantine. Later that year, Hailey also appeared in DJ Khaled and Drake’s “Popstar” music video alongside her husband.

The spouses celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary in September. Hailey shared photos via Instagram of their celebratory picnic.

2021

The influencer launched her YouTube channel in March and started releasing beauty and lifestyle content.

Hailey and Justin also attended the 2021 Met Gala together. The model wore a black YSL gown, which the musician matched with a black suit.

2022

Hailey was hospitalized in March with stroke-like symptoms. She later shared on her YouTube channel in April that she had suffered from a TIA (transient ischemic attack). The model was also diagnosed with a Grade 5 PFO (patent foramen ovale) — a flaplike opening in her heart — and had to undergo heart surgery.

“It went very smoothly and I’m recovering really well, really fast,” Hailey said in her YouTube video.

After recovering, Hailey launched a skincare brand, Rhode, in June.

2024

In May, Hailey and Justin announced they were expecting their first child. Justin shared photos via Instagram showing Hailey in a white lace Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello dress showing off her baby bump. Later in the month, he made two more posts featuring Hailey showing off her stomach in a half-way unbuttoned dress shirt and a white crop top.
