Johnny Depp quickly dropped out of school to focus on developing his acting career. In 1984, he made his debut in the cult horror A Nightmare on Elm Street directed by Wes Craven. In the following years, he strengthened his position in Hollywood by collaborating with Tim Burton .

The esteemed director cast him in several well-received productions, including Edward Scissorhands ,  Sleepy Hollow , and Alice in Wonderland . Today, for many die-hard fans, especially those of the younger generation, Deep is the indispensable Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean series .

The movie pirate has had more than one scandal behind him. The most notorious was his divorce and trial with his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard . The couple exchanged absurd accusations in the courtroom , embarrassing millions of fans.

Johnny Depp fawning over Russians?

Depp, accused of domestic violence, recorded a short video in which he addressed… Russians, announcing that he would visit their homeland.

Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our film “The Boleyn Girl”. I am very proud of it and I hope you enjoy it,” he said, referring to his new film. Take care and see you soon, he added.

The release of the video was preceded by rumors that the actor would visit Russia in the fall and – perhaps – record a song with one of the local bands.

Of course, such a move will certainly not guarantee Depp recognition, and certainly not in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Let us recall that other Western actors have already opted for close relations with Russians – Gerard Depardieu  and  Steven Seagal .
