Johnny Depp and Amber Heard married in 2015. Although their marriage ended after a dozen or so months, they saw each other regularly for some time. They met in courtrooms, where they revealed intimate details of their relationships and litigated with each other.

Let us recall that the actress accused her ex-husband of using violence against her. Depp did not remain indebted and filed a lawsuit against her for defamation. The scales tilted first to one side , then to the other . In November, the verdict was announced – the court sided with Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp decided to appeal. After several months, on Thursday, March 18, the Court of Appeal in London heard the actor and his lawyers. They argued that Heard had not fulfilled the obligation imposed on her in the divorce proceedings. The actress was to donate $ 7 million to charities. The lawyers called it a “manipulative lie” that “determined the outcome of the case”.

Adam Wolanski, who represents the star, tried to ward off these attacks. He said that Heard had not lied about the payments. She had made numerous transfers to the organization’s accounts – the proof was supposed to be the checks she presented in court. He added that she had not yet transferred the entire amount. The reason is the costs of the legal battle with her ex-husband.

The court’s decision is expected to come in the next few weeks. It is worth mentioning, however, that the Supreme Court judge, Andrew Nicol, who presided over the case, warned Depp that the appeal had very little chance of success.

When Johnny Depp’s appeal was widely reported in the media, the Daily Mail  revealed the content of a text message the actor sent to his nurse. It did not spare bitter words for his ex-wife:

There’s no way she’s giving anyone a dime! Thanks, f*cking, for leaving! It makes me sick to think how hard I tried to make this whole thing work… Now… Honestly? I wouldn’t touch that f*cking b*tch in a hazmat suit! What scum. I fucking hate her!
