Sandra Bullock’s Ocean’s 8 is a rather conflicting film for fans of the Oceans franchise. Although the film has several iconic scenes and provides a fresh approach to the rest of the franchise, some tropes and approaches force audiences to criticize it. It would seem that fans aren’t the only ones who have beef with the project.
Julia Roberts, who played Tess in the franchise, was a very important part of the story, being the main love interest to Danny Ocean. Oddly enough, she was not a part of the all-female sequel to the franchise, and if rumors are to be believed, the actress is bitter about this fact.
Julia Roberts Hasn’t Seen Ocean’s 8
Soon after the release of Ocean’s 8, Julia Roberts was doing the press for her thriller film, Homecoming. Since she was a crucial part of the original films, it is only natural that the actress would be asked about a sequel that she was not a part of. However, there was no buzz surrounding her.

Interestingly enough, an insider who was present at one of the press events revealed that the actress specifically did not want to talk about the subject. In an interview with InTouch (via CloseWeekly), they revealed that someone had asked the actress about her thoughts on the project.
Julia said, ‘I haven’t seen it and I won’t be seeing it,’ and that was the end of that,
To the surprise of the fans, she confessed that she had not seen the Sandra Bullock film and actually had no intentions of doing so.
Julia Roberts Was Not Interested in Talking About Sandra Bullock’s Film
The snide comment on Ocean’s 8 wasn’t the only thing that the source revealed about Julia Robert’s thoughts on the franchise’s newest film, as she also seemed to have a very visual dislike for the project. Roberts famously did not have any involvement in the sequel, and claims have been made that she was not glad about it.

With this in mind, it is not surprising that she was not interested in talking about the film when she was promoting a project of her own. The source revealed that when the actress was asked more questions surrounding the project, her publicist ended up intervening to stop the line of questioning.
When someone else brought up Ocean’s 8, Julia’s PR person stopped them. She looked annoyed to even be asked about it.
Related They also added that upon enduring these questions, Roberts seemed to look quite irritated that the conversation deviated from her film.
