Not much can overshadow a heavily pregnant woman’s baby bump, but Justin Bieber managed to do it courtesy of his unconventional footwear on Wednesday evening.

The Canadian singer, 30, sported a pair of questionable $2,438 slippers from Louis Vuitton while visiting the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills with expectant wife Hailey.

The couple, who will welcome their first child within weeks, had previously attended a prayer service at Churchome, a Christian organization followed by stars including Selena Gomez and Kourtney Kardashian.

Hailey, 27, caught the eye in a sleek black leather jacket and matching jeans as they made their way back to a waiting car later that night.

It featured puffy, rumpled sleeves and a buttoned-back flap over the zipper, as well as the odd detail of appearing to have two overlapping collars.

The pregnant model looked as if she had walked straight out of the Matrix with her sleek outfit, and she added to that vibe with her slim black sunglasses.

She completed her look by pulling her brunette locks back in a bun held together by a large black hair clip, though she left stands dangling to frame her face.

Her husband Justin was going for a much more casual look, with the singer wearing a red knit bucket hat and cropped gray zip-up hoodie.

He wore a black Bob Marley T-shirt and acid-wash jeans shorts with a draw-string waist, but it was his oversize fuzzy brown Louis Vuitton slippers that drew the most attention.

Hailey and Justin are understood to be leaning on their faith as the  due date of their first baby rapidly approaches.

The Sorry singer contrasted Hailey’s slim black sunglasses with his chunky brown bug-eyed frames, and he sported a thick beard and shaggy hair.

Bieber and his wife were for years associated with the evangelical church Hillsong, which cultivated a large group of celebrity worshippers and developed a focus on contemporary music to project a hip, youth-oriented image.

But Justin had a falling out with his former ‘spiritual advisor,’ the pastor Carl Lentz.

Lentz, who baptized Justin and had co-founded a branch of Hillsong in New York City, was fired in late 2020 for what Brian Houston, the church’s Global Senior Pastor, described as ‘leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures,’ which Lentz clarified was an extramarital affair.

Houston later resigned in 2022 after he was accused of inappropriate behavior toward two women.

Leona Kimes, the wife of the Boston location’s pastor, later accused Lentz of sexual abuse and an abuse of power from 2011 to 2017, during which time she worked as his family’s nanny.

After cutting ties with Lentz and Hillsong, Bieber announced that Churchome was his new house of worship.

‘BTW HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH,’ the hitmaker wrote in an angry Instagram Stories post from November 2022 in response to a news report claiming he was studying to be a minister, which he also denied. ‘FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF CHURCHOME.’

On Monday, an insider close to the Biebers told People that the two were ‘very religious’ and ‘lean[ing] on their faith’ as they await the birth of their first child.

‘Justin and Hailey are really involved in their church community,’ the source added.

They also claimed that Hailey was ‘fiercely protective of her and Justin’s growing tribe’ after she revealed that she was no longer ‘close’ to her father Stephen Baldwin or her uncle Alec Baldwin.

However, she didn’t indicate a falling out with her family and instead said it was because she was now ‘very independent’ as she started her own family with Justin.

In the same W Magazine interview, she spoke out against parasocial fans and followers who have spread rumors about alleged marital troubles.
