Justin Bieber is a completely different person from who he was a decade ago. The former teen idol struggled with drug addiction and wanted to escape from being in the chaotic public life, and worked hard to become a better version of himself.
His marriage to Hailey Bieber and focus on spiritual development has transformed him completely…but he’s still human. And continues to learn from his mistakes.
Justin Mistakenly Promoted A Racist Singer
In multiple Instagram stories, the singer apologized to his fans for promoting country singer Morgan Wallen’s album, Dangerous: The Double Album. The Sorry singer revealed he “had no idea” about the controversial incident that took place earlier this year when Wallen had used a racial slur.
Bieber clarified and was deeply apologetic, upset that he had made a huge mistake.
“I had no idea that the guy’s music I posted was recently found saying racist comments,” Bieber wrote to Instagram, immediately after deleting his story about how he loved Wallen’s music.
He continued: “As you know I don’t support or tolerate any sort of racism or discrimination. I had no idea, I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended.”
The artist poured his heart out in the next message, apologizing for his teenage years where he was filmed telling racist jokes. Bieber explained that his present ignorance had brought back “painful memories” and that he’d continue to take ownership for his past and his ignorance.
Although Bieber received negative backlash from social media users, the singer’s fans appreciated his immediate response to their concerns and took action to correct his failure.
A fan wrote in defense of Bieber, “He is such a good human being. Holds himself accountable for his mistakes and doesn’t try to bury them,” and another added “He holds himself accountable. Love him for that. He is superior.”
“y’all beg people to take accountability and when they do y’all don’t believe it,” said another.
“Always apologizing and taking responsibility for himself. That’s not racist,” shared a fourth.
“At least he always takes accountability,” added another.
