By now it goes without saying that Keanu Reeves is a nice guy. But if you need proof to believe it, he gave away the profits he made from the Matrix sequels to the film’s staff – over $40 million. However, at 54, Keanu is a lonely guy. That’s what he admitted in an interview with  The Jakarta Post .

In a recent interview, Keanu Reeves has admitted that he is “a lonely guy”

Obviously  The Matrix means a lot to you. Are you anything like Neo?

He is a better man than me, but I try to live by his values.

What qualities of his do you particularly admire?

It was the role of a good man that I played. I thought his love for Trinity was very pure, I really identified with that. I also loved his search for answers. He is a strong, positive, moral and ethical man, doing the best he can.

What does love mean to you?

You mean romantic love? Well, I’m a lonely guy. There’s no one in my life. But if it were to happen, I would respect and love the other person. Hopefully, it will happen.

You describe yourself as a loner. Are you happy with that?

I don’t worry too much about that. I’m an actor, so in the terms you’re asking, I don’t have an answer.

You live in West Hollywood. Do people there respect your privacy? Can you walk around without being bothered?

My days are pretty normal. But of course, there are the tourist buses, they visit everyone’s houses. I go out in the morning to pick up the newspaper and you see them there.

Sometimes you feel like a caged animal. But in Los Angeles, nobody cares.

There are definitely paparazzi chasing you around, but I don’t go out much or do anything interesting really. I’m pretty boring.
