Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR returns as Genghis Khan’s ultimate weapon in the new BRZRKR: The Lost Book of B. Reeves’ soon to be iconic character is one of the most exciting comic book debuts of the past decade, shattering sales records and defying expectations. Since its conclusion, publisher Boom Studios has released special books fleshing out the BRZRKR universe, and The Lost Book of B takes fans back to the 13th century.
Boom Studios unveiled more information about BRZRKR: The Lost Book of B on their website. The book will reunite the original BRZRKR creative team of Reeves, writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney. In the 13th century, B (the book’s hero) is in the employ of the notorious warlord Genghis Khan. One of Khan’s premiere soldiers, B has racked up numerous kills and victories. Yet now, B is beginning to question his loyalties, leading to a showdown of historical proportions.
The book will feature a cover by Garney as well as variants by Bill Sienkiewicz and David Nakayama.
BRZRKR Has Been A Huge Hit for Boom Studios
Keanu Reeves’ Immortal Warrior Has Resonated With Fans
Boom Studios caught lightning in a bottle with BRZRKR. Created by beloved actor Keanu Reeves, BRZRKR is the story of an immortal named B. He has lived for centuries, racking up kill after kill. Set in the present day, B must now contend with his dark legacy. BRZRKR’s first issue is one of the best-selling comics of the 21st century, and it went into multiple printings. Fans could not get enough of B’s adventures. Kindt and Garney helped bring Reeves’ killer idea to spectacular life.
As B is an immortal, and has lived for countless eons, it makes perfect sense that he would have had bloody and violent adventures in other eras. Since the original BRZRKR series ended, the creative team has explored B’s life throughout the centuries. Through books such as Fallen Empire, Bloodlines and Poetry of Madness, more of B’s adventures have been told, giving fans an expansive look at his life and the events that shaped him into who he is today. The Lost Book of B will be just as crucial to the mythos as the previous titles.
The Lost Book of B Could Be The Best BRZRKR Title Yet
Adding Real People Like Genghis Khan Adds a Fun and Realistic Layer
The Lost Book of B promises to be the bloodiest BRZRKR title yet. Genghis Khan was a real person, a bloodthirsty tyrant who ruled much of the known world. B was crucial to his success, but Lost Book of B looks at what happens when B questions Khan. Khan will no doubt be angry with B, which will lead to a showdown between them. Inserting historical figures into B’s story adds a layer of realism, and drives home just how long Keanu Reeves’ barbarian character has been alive. BRZRKR: The Lost Book of B will be essential reading for fans.
