Keanu Reeves just met a young fan and it might be the most wholesome moment ever.

The nicest guy in Hollywood took some time out of his busy day to play catch with a nine-year-old boy, who had been waiting eagerly to meet the A-Lister.

Stopping in the middle of the street, the pair play ball as others fondly watched on. Take a look below:

Patiently waiting outside the House of Blues, Houston, were self-confessed autograph hunter Annette Cruz with her two young grandsons, Elijah and Caleb.

Having met countless celebs in the past, the grandparent was eager to meet the 58-year-old and thankfully, Reeves did not disappoint.

Ironically though, they nearly missed out on the chance-of-lifetime encounter after failing to recognise the A-Lister.

“He like came out, and I didn’t expect his hair to be like a little white,” Caleb later told local news station KHOU 11, adding: “I knew his hair was long, but I didn’t expect it to be white.”

It wasn’t long before the trio spotted the Speed star, with Elijah then making the unusual request.

“I asked him the first time and he kind of mumbled something,” he told news crews, adding: “But I didn’t hear him, so I asked him again and he said, ‘Yeah come on let’s go’.”

Unsurprisingly, the nine-year-old was a little nervous about going up against the action hero – but he soon eased his fears.

In fact, the two played with the actor even complimenting the kid on his pitching arm.

“I was surprised he did it, and then he said, ‘Hey, he’s got a great spiral’,” Cruz revealed to KHOU 11, adding: That’s a day he’s always going to remember.”

Of course, all good things must come to an end and eventually, the actor-turned-rocker had to head inside but not before he took a couple of selfies with his young fans.

The Bill & Ted Excellent Adventure star is currently touring the US with his bandmates Bret Domrose and Robert Mailhouse.
