Oh, what could have been!
Keanu Reeves celebrated the 25th anniversary of his 1994 film Speed by making an explosive revelation: he was totally crushing on Sandra Bullock while they were filming the action flick!
The confession came in his first ever appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, where the actor was promoting his upcoming film John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum.

During the interview, Ellen DeGeneres recalled Sandy’s December appearance on her show, in which the Bird Box star admitted to developing feelings for Reeves back in the day. She revealed at the time:

“[Filming Speed] was hard… it was really hard for me to be serious. He would look at me and I’d be like [giggles nervously] … Never dated him. There was just something about about me I guess…. he didn’t like.”

The actress said nothing ever happened between the two because she was too scared to make a move — though she did point out that they were probably better off as friends in the long run.
But maybe not? Because it turns out the feeling was mutual!
After playing the clip of Sandy admitting her feelings, the comedian asked the actor if he was privy to his costar’s crush — to which he cheekily replied:

“She obviously didn’t know I had a crush on her, either.”

Oh!?
The remark immediately ignited emphatic wooing from the audience, and prompted Ellen to ask why a romance never happened if both actors were into each other.
To that, he explained:

“We were working!”

But Ellen still wasn’t convinced.
She then probed her guest further, asking if he had ever had a romance with one of his costars. Things got a bit awkward from there, but his non-answer seemed to imply that he has enjoyed the occasional workplace fling. Watch (below):

As Ellen pointed out, Sandra has been dating photographer Bryan Randall since 2015 — so sadly the window has closed on a Keandra pairing.
We guess they join these other celeb one true pairings who aren’t together…
