That’s right, even the top stars in Hollywood can struggle during an intimate scene. That was the case for Keanu Reeves back in 1995, appearing in the drama, A Walk in the Clouds. His co-star Aitana Sanchez-Gijon was completely fine. However, we can’t say the same for his mouth…
We’ll reveal the details as to what took place, and why the scene turned into a nightmare. In addition, we’ll reveal another embarrassing kissing scene for the actor, and where Sandra Bullock ranks among his best kisses of all-time.
We’re going to wrap things up by looking at the real side of Keanu Reeves, and why his intimate conversations would frustrate a certain co-star.
Keanu Reeves’ Worst Kiss Took Place With Aitana Sanchez-Gijon In A Walk In The Clouds
Back in 1995, Keanu Reeves appeared in the film A Walk in the Clouds alongside co-star, Aitana Sanchez-Gijon. The film was a success from a box office standpoint, bringing in $91 million. Reviews were mixed, with IMDb rating the film 6.7 stars out 10.
There was a particular moment in the film that Keanu won’t ever forget. It was deemed as his “most painful kiss ever,” literally. Nothing wrong with his co-star, or the way she kissed him. Instead, the scene was a disaster due to the fact that Keanu was involved in a sporting accident, resulting in four stitches. Not feeling all that great, Keanu had to shoot the scene for the sake of the film, and how important it was to the plot.
Nonetheless, being the committed actor that he is, Keanu revealed that the injury might’ve helped his acting for the scene.
“Yeah, it was the most painful kiss ever,” Reeves said. “But maybe that helped the scene…”
Although it was his worst kiss, the honor for most embarrassing might’ve gone to his scene with Diane Keaton, given the age gap of 24 years.
Still, Keaton didn’t have any issues with it.
“He’s so beautiful; it’s stupefying. It was a guilty pleasure. A very guilty pleasure.”
Keaton took things a step further on IG, paying homage to her kissing scene with Keanu on Valentine’s Day.
Keanu Reeves Admitted His Best Kiss Came With Sandra Bullock
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but Keanu Reeves spoke fondly of his kiss in a different romantic film alongside Sandra Bullock, The Lake House. Keanu remembered the steamy moment from the film, calling it the most memorable part of filming. “It was really exciting to work again. I have a great trust and comfort, which is nice to have going into something and it was exciting.”
He continued, “I’ve said it before but I really enjoyed it — was the first and second days where we worked together,” he said. “And then the first kind of kiss, that was the most memorable film day for me.”
The chemistry between the two was constant throughout their careers. However, Bullock did admit to a frustrating part about working with Keanu. Behind the scenes, it seemed like the actor was too good of a listener during intimate conversations…Sandra Bullock Admitted Intimate Conversations Were Difficult With Keanu Reeves
Sandra Bullock spilled the details of what it is like to have an intimate conversation with Keanu Reeves. Fans could have anticipated this. According to Bullock, Keanu offered back very little in return during their many chats.
“That’s what I mean that it drives you crazy,” Bullock admitted. “When I first met him, I would spend as much time as I could filling a silence, just to feel comfortable. And the more I jibber-jabbered on, the quieter he would get. And I thought, I don’t understand what’s happening! He’s looking at me with eyes of confusion. He’s quiet. Did I say something to offend him?”
Via Instar“And then a day or two later, he would arrive with a note or a little package, saying, ‘I thought about what you said.’ And he would have his response.”
Bullock also discussed the prospect of possibly dating Keanu, and how she wouldn’t even have been upset had he dumped her.
“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him,” Bullock said.
“So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know. But we didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”
Now that’s some special skill.
