Kesha seems to have updated the lyrics of one of her most famous songs featuring a reference to rapper P Diddy.
Diddy currently faces various legal charges including sexual assault lawsuits after raids of his Los Angeles and Miami mansions. He maintains his innocence. Kesha’s Tik Tok tune features a reference to the musician, something she switched up at Coachella.
Taking to the stage in Indio, California over the weekend, the 37-year-old was joined by Renee Rapp during her first set. While launching into her 2009 hit, Kesha appeared to change her well-known lyrics, “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P. Diddy.”

As she kicked off her performance, Kesha sang, “Wake up in the mornin’ like f**k P. Diddy.” Both artists held their middle fingers in the air as they spoke the lyrics live. If performing it wasn’t enough, she then posted the words on X, formally Twitter, giving fans the same message, in capitals, “WAKE UP IN THE MORNING LIKE F**K P DIDDY.”
50 Cent was amongst the first to pick up on what happened at Coachella, sharing a clip on his Instagram page alongside the caption, “LOL she said f**k P DIDDY, hahahahahah Puffy like 50 told her to say that!” One fan said the lyrics left them “shook to the core”.
“Kesha Renaissance actually happening my Godddd,” another penned on X. While someone else said: “Yeah Renee and Kesha ate that.” It’s actually not the first time Kesha has changed her P Diddy reference in Tik Tok.
When the rapper was accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend Cassie last November, the singer removed the reference entirely. While performing shows in Oakland and Hollywood, Kesha changed the words to, “Wake up in the morning’ feelin’ just like me.”

Aaron Dyer, Diddy’s lawyer, shared a statement with the Mirror after the raids last month. “There was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”
He added: “This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”
In regards to the raids on Diddy’s mansions last month, law enforcement told the Mirror at the time: “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available.”
