Kim Porter‘s father is sharing his reaction to the resurfaced assault footage of her ex-boyfriend, Diddy, and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.
Kim Porter’s Father Reacts To The Footage Of Diddy Assaulting Cassie
According to Rolling Stone, the outlet spoke with Kim’s father, Jake, via phone on Friday, June 7. During the call, Jake Porter shared his reaction to the “despicable” footage from March 5, 2016, of Diddy stomping, kicking, and throwing glass vases at Cassie.
As The Shade Room previously reported, the footage was captured by surveillance cameras at the InterContinental Hotel.
“You can say I was disgusted with the video, and I wouldn’t treat my enemy like that,” the 78-year-old told the outlet. “It was despicable… I couldn’t believe it. I was in Vietnam, and I wouldn’t do that to my enemy.”
The outlet reports that Jake was asked if he ever witnessed Diddy be violent toward his daughter. In response, the father declined. Additionally, he said he never witnessed anything “to that extent.”
However, Jake Porter also added that the footage of Diddy made him “wonder” about the mogul’s treatment of his daughter.
Jake Porter Speaks On His “Outlook” Of Diddy & Shares Words For Cassie
As the conversation continued, Porter explained that after watching the “despicable” footage of Diddy, he now has a “different outlook” on the mogul.
“I didn’t know he could stoop that low,” Porter said. “I imagine it surprised a lot of people.”
Porter added that he “wouldn’t even” treat a dog like Diddy treated Cassie.
“My heart goes out to Cassie,” he stated.
The outlet notes that Porter “declined to answer many questions.” However, he recalled Porter not being able to live with the music mogul in the same house. The former couple welcomed their eldest son, Christian, in 1998 before welcoming twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, in 2008.
“[She] just couldn’t live with [him],” Porter explained. “I think he was a very jealous person. They both loved each other. Kim’s love was legitimate. Puffy’s love, I don’t know what he calls love, you know what I mean? I really don’t think he has any idea what love is.”
Porter reportedly concluded his interview by sharing that his “concern is the children.”
The Father & Grandfather Isn’t The Only Parent To React To The Surveillance Footage Of Diddy
Jake Porter isn’t the only parent connected to the Combs family to share their reaction to the resurfaced footage of the music mogul. As The Shade Room previously reported, in May, the mother of Notorious B.I.G., Voletta Wallace, shared strong words in response to the footage.
“I hope that I see Sean one day, and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him,” she also told Rolling Stone. “And you can quote me on that. Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.”
Additionally, Wallace shared advice on what she believes Diddy should do next as lawsuits loom over his head and a federal investigation — which may involve a grand jury — continues to develop.
