May 4 marked a memorable anniversary for the actress of the movie The Silence of the Lambs – Jodie Foster when she received the prestigious star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

Jodie Foster was as simple as her usual style when accepting the star named after her at the Walk of Fame.

The speaker of the award ceremony was the “daughter” of Jodie Foster’s colleague 14 years ago – actress Kristen Stewart in the movie Panic Room .

Kristen said: “I was a fan of Jodie Foster even before I starred in Panic Room. Among the people I idolize, Jodie is an ageless woman who never makes others worry.”

Compared to other actors of the same age as Michelle Pfeiffer, Eddie Murphy, Bruce Willis, John Travolta… Jodie Foster’s award after more than 40 years of dedication to art seems to be too late.

However, Jodie humorously said: “I decided to receive the title because… waiting for the right time for the movie Money Monster , my first director , to be released.”

Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is located along both sides of Hollwyood Avenue and Vine Street in Los Angeles, USA. On these two streets, famous people in the fields of cinema, music, fashion… will receive a star with their name plastered on the street. Each star weighs about 136kg and the two roads can accommodate about 2,500 stars.

This honor does not come with money, but it recognizes the achievements and contributions of famous people and brings them more work opportunities in the future.

Some Asian artists have been named on the Walk of Fame such as: legendary Bruce Lee, Korean actor – Philip Ahn, “Karate master” – Pat Morita, Jackie Chan…
