When Amanda Rollins returns to Law & Order: SVU this season, she’ll have a new job, a new title and a new partner riding shotgun.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist‘s John Clarence Stewart will play Rollins’ partner, Det. Vince Corgan, TVInsider reports. Both Corgan and — the recently promoted Sgt. (!) — Rollins work for the New York Police Department’s Intelligence Unit, a division of the NYPD “which is very different from the Intelligence Unit anywhere else, because the Intelligence Unit in New York has cops stationed in almost every country in the world,” showrunner David Graziano told TVLine earlier in September.

Stewart’s TV work also includes roles on Luke CageThe Good Fight, P-Valley and 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Fans will remember that Giddish left SVU as a series regular in December 2022 but has returned several times since then, most recently in a May 2024 episode in which we learned that Rollins was unemployed and searching for purpose. Giddish will guest-star in several Season 26 episodes, starting with the one that airs on Thursday, Oct. 24.

“Rollins and her new partner are investigating a crew of crime tourists, which are bad guys that fly into towns and cities, do a lot of damage, and are back on a plane within 48 hours,” Giddish told TVInsider.

She added: “Rollins loves her new job. She says it’s like getting to eavesdrop on the whole world. And I feel like she’s really happy, and it’s fun to play that version of Rollins.”
