Leonardo DiCaprio’s management of a fan after being ambushed on the red carpet was surprising to everyone who saw the moment unfold.

Leonardo DiCaprio is not one to want for a beautiful woman on his arm. In fact, DiCaprio has been linked to some of the most beautiful women in the world, be they models or actors, all of whom are under the age of 25 years old. But when it comes to the next step of committing to a lifetime with someone, DiCaprio has yet to take the plunge.

What is interesting about this is that DiCaprio is not opposed to marriage. Marriage is something that he believes in and something that DiCaprio believes would help round out his life to be more about something than just his career.

“I want to get married and have children,” DiCaprio explained. “In saying that, I realize I am contradicting everything I’ve said before. I absolutely believe in marriage.”

DiCaprio went on to say, “What I definitely feel a need for is to make my life about more than just my career. Just last night I was thinking to myself how little of my life has been lived normally and not spent on some far-off movie location.”

As the years went on, many wondered if DiCaprio was going to ever get married. But, DiCaprio was unconcerned about any timetable he needed to follow, instead believing that if marriage was meant to be with someone, it would happen.

“I think everybody, well, not everybody, but I think that, you know, eventually when the time is right, absolutely, yeah,” DiCaprio said about marriage.

This does not mean that DiCaprio has never had the opportunity to get married. Proposals from fans come from around the globe constantly. However, one fan took the cake when she approached DiCaprio about marriage, and he had an unexpected reaction to the fan proposing to him.

DiCaprio has been one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood for nearly two decades. While many did not believe that his romances with some of the women he has dated would go anywhere, there were a couple of relationships that looked to have potential.

The first was with Gisele Bundchen, whom DiCaprio dated from 2000 to 2005; Gisele said she “hit rock bottom” when dating The Aviator star. The second was with Camila Morrone, who DiCaprio was linked to from 2018 to 2022; Camila’s net worth skyrocketed because of her connection to Leo. It was these relationships that led to the media hounding DiCaprio about any plans for marriage, all of which DiCaprio answered like a true professional.

“That time will come when that time comes,” DiCaprio said when asked if he believed in marriage. “The truth is, you can’t predict marriage. You can’t plan it. It’s just going to happen when it happens.”

It appears that DiCaprio’s stance on having children is very similar to his stance on marriage, neither of which is calling out to him to do anything in the near future.

I’m not that old, my biological clock isn’t ticking yet. I’d like to leave it to fate if and when I’m going to be a father. A part of me has too many professional plans to even seriously consider it. When I see the children in my family though, the idea of having children doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

While this comment was from 2010, DiCaprio has not made any strides toward marriage or having children since that time. However, if the timeline of people like George Clooney is looked at, Clooney did not get married until he was in his early fifties.

As such, DiCaprio may get married and have a family yet. Especially given that he is no stranger to fans proposing to him in some pretty strange places.

On One Red Carpet, A Fan Snuck In And Proposed To Leonardo DiCaprio
Since DiCaprio rose to fame with Titanic, female fans have expressed how much they adore him, with some even going as far as to propose to the A-list star. But one fan took the cake with her original, albeit somewhat creepy, proposal to DiCaprio which was done by sneaking on the red carpet and posing as a journalist.

The fan who approached DiCaprio was an unemployed actress named Marjorie. Marjorie said that she was tired of waiting for her dreams to come true and was going to take matters into her own hands.

“I didn’t forget my Hollywood dreams,” Marjorie explained. “I deserve movie kisses and things. And red carpets.”

Apparently, that meant tracking DiCaprio down at the premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street in France, where she would propose to DiCaprio on the red carpet.

Armed with a microphone, Marjorie blended in well with the other journalists on the red carpet. She managed to push her way into where DiCaprio was signing autographs and then got DiCaprio’s attention.

“Journalists always ask you when are you going to get married,” Marjorie said to DiCaprio. “It’s so annoying. So I came here to save you today. Let’s not hide anymore.”

At the completion of her statement, Marjorie takes off her black coat to reveal that she is wearing a wedding dress, complete with a veil.

For many actors, this would have scared them or caused them to just move on, on the red carpet. But, being the gentleman that he is, DiCaprio handled the situation like a pro and both he and Marjorie walked away from the encounter with memories.

Leonardo DiCaprio Didn’t Mind The Proposal At All
For most celebrities who are constantly hounded by fans, it can get to be overwhelming. When this happens, they are generally caught by cameras being in a state of frustration and coming across as rude to the public, all because some privacy is needed.

But when DiCaprio was approached by Marjorie with her proposal on the red carpet, he handled it in a way where not only did he not belittle Marjorie for wanting to meet him but made fans love him more in the process.

After Marjorie proposed, DiCaprio smiled and laughed.

“I love it,” DiCaprio said in the YouTube video. “Give me a hug.”

As Marjorie and DiCaprio embraced, DiCaprio also gave Marjorie a kiss on the side of the forehead. He then kept moving down the red carpet, waving goodbye as he went on his way.

Marjorie was left with a big smile on her face. While she did not accomplish her goal of getting DiCaprio to agree to her marriage proposal, she did get herself noticed. Whether this helped her acting career is unknown. But what it did is solidify that DiCaprio is a class act and grew his legion of fans exponentially by his handling of the situation.
