He’s famously dated women a lot younger than him but there might be a fresh break in tradition for this Titanic heartthrob. Pap shots suggest Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti could be engaged given a very sparkly ring on that finger.
Page Six published the photos, which you can see here, and it looks to be a very impressive piece of jewelry and it’s the only ring she’s wearing on that hand so it stands out even more. She notably hasn’t flaunted the ring on social media, either.
However, a source told Us Weekly that the ring is an old one. “Leo and Vittoria are not engaged,” they said. “She’s wearing a ring she’s had for years.”
That lines up with something she told Elle magazine in February 2024. “I’ll show a glimpse of my life here and there, but I like to keep that to myself,” she said on her Instagram usage. “Sometimes hotels are like, ‘You can stay here for free, but then you are going to have to post.’ And I’m like, ‘You know what? I’ll pay.’ I feel safer. I don’t want people to know where I go. I value that privacy a lot.”
In September 2023, a source told Page Six the couple was getting quite serious. “They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together over the past few months, and they’re enjoying getting to know one another on a deeper level.”
Unlike Leo, Vittoria was previously married. She tied the knot with DJ Matteo Milleri in 2020. According to Grazia, the pair wed “in a quaint ceremony” in Ibiza on January 6, 2020. While it is unclear when exactly or why the former pair called it quits, it looks like the model stopped posting photos of Matteo on social media in late 2022.
While engagement may be breaking a pattern for Leo, some things never change. In sticking with tradition, Vittoria is almost half his age. Such was the strength of this age gap pattern that someone on Reddit actually made a graph demonstrating his past relationships and how they’ve always ended before the woman turned 26.
It didn’t seem to bother his previous girlfriend, Camilla Morrone, though, with whom he was together for more than four years. In a December 2019 interview with The Los Angeles Times, Camila made reference to her and Leo’s 23-year age gap, saying: “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood—and in the history of the world—where people have large age gaps,” she said. “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
