It’s been a while since we’ve seen Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves hit the red carpet together, but by the looks of their latest appearance at the 2024 Oscars, they’ve been doing more than “alright, alright, alright.”

McConaughey is presenting at tonight’s award ceremony and brought Alves as his plus-one, making for a rare (and stylish) date night for the parents of three. For the occasion, the Oscar-winning actor wore a rule-breaking color combination with his brown tuxedo jacket, which featured dark trim detailing, and black trousers. He accessorized with a black bowtie and brown-tinted tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Matching her husband in Versace, Alves opted for a strapless black gown with a thigh-high slit and a jewel-encrusted bust. She added even more drama to her look with a pair of black latex opera gloves and a statement-making serpentine-shaped necklace that was dripping in diamonds. A stack of sparkly bangles, a giant cocktail ring, and a pair of diamond earrings rounded out her bling.

When it came time for glam, Alves wore her dark brunette hair down in crimped waves with a middle part and opted for a no-makeup makeup look with bare lips, glowing skin, and fluffed eyebrows.

It’s been nearly a year since McConaughey and Alves made a joint appearance on the red carpet. The last time was in April 2023 when the couple attended the Mack, Jack & McConaughey Charity Gala in Austin, Texas. For that outing, the two coordinated in pastels, with McConaughey wearing a baby blue suit and Alves sporting a pale yellow caped dress with green straps that matched her heels.
