Matthew McConaughey took to Instagram on Sunday to wish his firstborn child, son Levi, a happy 16th birthday. 

Sharing a montage video of photos with his nearly 10 million followers, the 54-year-old actor — who is married to Camila Alves, 41 — wrote in the caption, ‘enjoy your journey.’

The reel was soundtracked by a voiceover dedicated to the teenager, in which the father-of-three began, ‘Alright Levi, coming on that age, buddy. About to be out on your own.’

He continued, ‘Me and your mom hope we’ve done as good of a job as we can. You’re not gonna really have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world forever.’

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star added, ‘Just go out, enjoy. Be aware of your surroundings. Be yourself. Know when to say yes, know when to say no, know when to say maybe.’

Levi was born on July 7, 2008 and has two younger siblings

The proud dad advised, ‘See the good in everybody else, but know that not everyone else is always paying attention. Take your time,’ and emphasized, ‘Enjoy the journey.’

In addition to Levi, Matthew shares daughter Vida, 14, and son Livingston, 11, with his model wife.

This past Father’s Day, Levi appeared in a three-part Lincoln campaign called The Road Ahead alongside his movie star dad.

One of the trio of ads shared on social media depicted the duo sitting in a car as Matthew told his son how much he loves to drive.

‘One of my favorite things I’ve done — when I have time to drive I’d rather drive than fly. It’s really good for your timing, pace, and patience in life,’ he tells an attentive Levi.

In another clip, he says, ‘Now, your mother and I, we hope we’ve raised you well enough to be responsible for yourself, to take care of yourself, to be aware of your surroundings.

‘Driving yourself for the first time, I’d be lying if I said we weren’t both a little bit nervous. But that’d be natural I think.’

Reciting the familiar refrain, he ends the snippet by telling his son to, ‘Enjoy the journey. Enjoy the drive. Congratulations.’
