Justin Bieber is still not off the hook for allegedly egging his neighbors’ home in 2014, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
The Los Angeles couple who lived next to Bieber, 24, and claimed they were continuously terrorized by the pop star is now asking for $3 million to settle their harassment case against him.
Jeffrey and Suzanne Schwartz said they initially negotiated to settle their case against Bieber for $10 million in November 2017, but Hailey Baldwin’s fiancé refused.
According to an affidavit viewed by Radar, the Schwartzs said they are willing to settle the case for $100,000 each, plus property damage costs. The couple also said they are willing to settle the case for 10 times the amount of their calculated damages, resulting in a $3.009 million settlement offer.
“Bieber has treated the Schwartz family and this case like a video game, acting as if he is above the law and can act with impunity,” the affidavit said. “While Bieber was on probation for this very case, he and the very same attorneys in this case misrepresented to the courts in Ontario, Canada and in Los Angeles County, stating in the second instance that he qualified for early termination of probation because he was in compliance with all the terms and conditions of probation, had not engaged in any wrongful conduct, and was crime free.”
In the docs, the couple claimed Bieber showed a “complete lack of respect” during litigation. They claimed the pop star believes “he is above the law and can manipulate the legal system with impunity.”
The Schwartz couple said they filed the case for the “rights and safety” of their young daughter, and alleged Bieber first retaliated against them after they asked the singer to slow down while driving through their neighborhood.
Among their claims, the couple said Bieber spat at and made death threats towards Jeffrey Schwartz on March 26, 2013.
The couple also alleged Bieber, along with Christopher Moore, aka Lil Twist, and Xavier Smith, aka Lil Za, “endangered” Suzanne Schwartz and their young daughter by allegedly driving at a dangerous high speed and cutting Schwartz off and early hitting her car.
The affidavit accused the singer and his “posse” of approaching the mother and daughter during the June 2013 incident and yelling that they were going to follow them home “to intimidate” Suzanne Schwartz and her daughter.
In 2014, the couple also alleged Bieber and his crew threw eggs at the family’s home and yelled obscenities. They added they were victims of “systemic harassment and intimidation” by the star.
The Schwartz couple initially filed the suit in March 2015 and are suing the pop star of private nuisance, civil conspiracy, battery/assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, trespass, negligence and other allegations.
Both sides are currently undergoing a mandatory settlement conference. If neither side agrees on a settlement, a jury trial starting October 1 has been scheduled.
