Social Media users weren’t being too kind to Stephen Baldwin after the actor shared a cryptic post about “staying positive” following Hailey Bieber’s comment about her family.

The 58-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a selfie video of him driving. In the clip, Baldwin can be seen staring into the camera before slightly smiling and mouthing the words, “I love you.”

He then looks away into the distance, looks back to the camera and gives another smile.

“Today, staying positive is a choice !! so I’m trusting in the power of joy, peace, and happiness. Finally if anyone hasn’t told you today, I LOVE YOU,” the “Usual Suspects” actor captioned the post.

The cryptic post comes a day after his daughter Hailey revealed that she is “not super close” with her family anymore.

“I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family,” the 27-year-old model said in an interview with W magazine published Tuesday.

Social media users had mixed reactions to Baldwin’s post, with some rudely claiming the Rhode founder doesn’t love her daddy anymore.

“Sadly your daughter don’t love you [two tears of joy emoji] your embarrassing her,” one user commented.

Another added, “Talking to Hailey? Cuz she doesn’t care about anyone in her family it seems per her comments.”

“[Hailey Bieber] take him to nursing home [three tears of joy emoji],” one commenter wrote.

And one more added, “Your daughter is ashamed of you.”

Other users defended the actor, while some thanked him for the good vibes.

“Hopefully [Hailey Bieber] will come to forgiveness for whatever the rift is there,” one user wrote.

“Give him a break people!!! He is just a loving parent. Obvi the daughter forgot who introduced her to her husband,” another added.

“Awww Stephen that felt very genuine and sincere… so gonna send some right back to you and I throw some positivity sprinkles on top,” a fan commented.

Despite Hailey’s statement, she clarified that she has many fond memories with her dad, mom and sister.

“When I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories.”

Hailey is the second daughter of Baldwin with Kennya Deodato Baldwin. She married pop superstar Justin Bieber in 2018 and both are expecting their first child.
