Oprah Winfrey has plugged a $146 luxury bodycare set gifted by ‘her neighbour Meghan’ – and it’s made by a millionaire Montecito beauty guru who appeared in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series.

The talk show host, 70, who lives in Montecito, California, publishes her annual ‘Favorite Things’ gift guide on her website ahead of the festive season – with last year’s list featuring a $110 plate of cheese and some luxury salt for $80.

This year, the TV veteran appears to have turned to her friend the Duchess of Sussex for gifting inspiration and chose to include a luxury $146 bodycare set in her edit.

On Oprah Daily, the star explained how she was introduced to Tatcha’s Hinoki range by the former Suits actress – who is close friends with the brand’s co-founder and fellow Montecito resident Vicky Tsai.

Oprah gushed: ‘This is a favorite Favorite Thing—with the scent of a forest sent to me by my neighbor Meghan.

‘If you were to come into my house, you’d see this body wash, body oil, and body milk right by the tub.’

The luxury set consists of a body milk, body wash and body oil, which are all scented with the brand’s Forest Awakening Essential Oil Blend.

In the product descriptions, Tatcha claims the blend of cedar, hiba, and hinoki oils ‘reduce stress, lift mood, and help improve well-being’.

In 2019, Meghan sent her A-List baby shower guests home with $700 goodie bags – which included Tatcha’s $65 The Rice Polish, which serves as an exfoliant to ‘polish skin for a healthy glow’.

Five years earlier, Meghan told Allure magazine: ‘I really love the Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder,’ It just sort of foams on your face and gives you a really subtle exfoliation.’

In 2014, the Duchess raved about Tatcha’s Face Moisture Mask in an interview with Glamour – labeling it one of her favorite beauty treatments.

Tatcha’s Taiwanese-American co-founder also appeared in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docu-series in 2022 – where she confessed she cried watching the couple’s wedding.

She said: ‘It felt like a moment where the world paused and celebrated love.

‘I remember watching him look at her and I almost started to cry and I was like, “No Vicky, don’t cry.”’

It’s unclear how the Harvard Business School graduate originally got to know Harry and Meghan, but she is reported to own a $12.95million second home in Montecito, California, with her husband Eric Bevan.

Vicky’s Italian-styled five-bedroom home, which she was said to have purchased in June 2022, looks as equally grand as Harry and Meghan’s $15million pad, with a terracotta façade, manicured gardens complete with a pool and water features and a guesthouse.

Vicky appeared in the second episode of the series Harry & Meghan – where she was labeled as a ‘friend’.

Recalling the moment she learned of the couple’s engagement through the press she said: ‘When I saw the headlines, I was happy for her. It looked like a fairytale.’

What’s more, the brand’s Beautiful Faces, Beautiful Futures initiative – which was set up in 2014 to help girls stay in school – is a cause close to both Meghan and Oprah’s hearts.

During her royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in 2018, the Duchess spoke passionately of women’s ‘right to education’.

In her first speech of the tour, the mother-of-two said: ‘When girls are given the right tools to succeed they can create incredible futures not just for themselves but for all of those around them.’

Meanwhile, the TV star built the $40m Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa in 2007 to support ‘girls like herself’, who were born into poverty.

However, the Tatcha set isn’t the only Meghan Markle-approved present in Oprah’s gift guide this year.

The TV star has also included the $248 Eberjey Renew Plush Long Robe in the guide, which is another brand that seems to have received the Duchess’ stamp of approval.

Oprah gushes of the item: ‘A robe that wraps a person in a cloud of softness can take the edge off even the earliest morning or the coldest day—and is something friends and family won’t splurge on for themselves.’

The female-founded loungewear brand also counts Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Molly Sims, Meghan Markle, Selena Gomez and Nicola Peltz as fans.

The Duchess of Sussex famously wore a pair of the brand’s $148 ‘Gisele’ pyjamas on the set of Suits, which were customised with Rachel Zane’s name.

Other items in this year’s Favorite Things list include a $1,549 espresso machine, $395 sneaker heels and $48 LED color-changing evening bag.

Many of the unique gifts come from small businesses, as well as women-owned, Black-owned and other minority-owned businesses across the United States.

British brand Sole Bliss also made the list with its Wonder Boots, which are made from luxury Italian leather with a shearling lining.

The boots, available in three colors, also include retractable stainless-steel studs, which can flip up and down for icy days.

Sole Bliss is already a favorite of A-listers like Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore and Helen Mirren, and members of the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton.

Now, its equally beloved by Oprah and her best friend, Gayle, who wore the brand’s platform heels to the Mission Impossible premiere.

Oprah Winfrey – who famously filmed a bombshell interview with the royal couple in 2021 – has been close friends with the Duchess for several years and attended the Royal Wedding in May 2018.

Their relationship appears to have grown even stronger over the years after the Sussexes moved into a $14million Montecito mansion, which is located just a stone’s throw from Oprah’s own sprawling home.

Oprah even publicly weighed in on whether she thought they should attend King Charles’ Coronation in May 2023.

‘I think they should do what they feel is best for them and their family. That’s what I think,’ she said on the CBS Mornings show ahead of the event, adding: ‘They haven’t asked me my opinion.’

Earlier this year, Meghan Markle attended Oprah’s book club session at the new Godmothers bookstore in Summerland, which is just a few miles from their neighbourhood.
