Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves had undeniable chemistry on-screen in Speed and The Lake House and they both are hoping to work together again. Bullock proposed an idea for the next chapter of Speed that would be a hilarious comedy and hopefully Reeves is on board.

Sandra Bullock hopes to co-star with Keanu Reeves and pitched a genius movie idea

While Bullock and Reeves don’t have another movie together on the horizon, Bullock has a great idea for another installment of Speed that would allow them to show off their comedic talents.

In a November 2021 interview with Esquire, Bullock shared a movie pitch that would bring the two actors together on the big screen again.

“I would love nothing more than to do a comedy with Keanu before we die,” she shared. “Just laugh with him. He’s funny. We can be seventy-five — it’ll be even better then, like an old-people Cocoon thing.”

Bullock continued, “We play two funny old people. A road trip. Just put us in an RV as old people. It’ll be the bookend of Speed!”

She added, “We’ll just be driving really slowly. Pissing the world off. There’s our movie.”

Keanu Reeves wants to work with Sandra Bullock again

In an Esquire Q&A video, Reeves shared his thoughts about reuniting on-screen with Bullock again. Needless to say, it wouldn’t take much convincing to sign him up to co-star with her.

“You starred opposite Sandra Bullock in Speed and The Lake House. Any chance we will see you two reunite on screen again in the future?” Reeves was asked.

Not surprisingly, he hopes it becomes a reality. And with Bullock’s comedy idea, maybe it’ll happen at some point.

“I sure hope so. She’s such a wonderful artist and person,” the actor answered. “And, you know, I think we have good chemistry. And it would be really exciting and interesting to get the chance to perform with her again.”

Reeves and Bullock’s off-screen chemistry was evident in throwback video

While their chemistry on-screen was apparent, an old video of the two showed just how much they clicked in real life too.

Bullock is seen crashing Reeves’ 1994 interview for Speed and he and his co-star have a flirty and fun moment.

“Ah, she’s a beautiful lady. Yeah, very beautiful, giving,” Reeves said about Bullock in the clip. “She has such a wonderful energy about her and light.”

He sweetly continued, “It’s just wherever she goes, she really gives and wants things to be … springtime. So, I don’t know. I’ve enjoyed her company immensely.”

Reeves added, “Oh yeah, and she’s a really great actress too … she’s brought a very, you know, she’s been fighting the direction of just being like, the complete damsel in distress.”

Bullock interrupts the interview and the two share an energetic hug and Reeves compliments her style. It’s all very cute.
