Selena Gomez appears to have family planning on her mind — just weeks after her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber revealed his wife Hailey is expecting their first child.

The Only Murders in the Building star, 31, recently revealed that she had planned to adopt a child herself if she hadn’t met the right partner by age 35.

‘I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,’ Selena said at the Time 100 Most Influential Companies event.

‘A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.

‘Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone,’ she said.

And then she met her musician boyfriend Benny Blanco, 36, last year and she followed that plot twist to the love they share today.

She came up with the ‘plan’ before meeting her current boyfriend Benny Blanco, 36

Benny recently discussed starting a family with the singer on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show.

‘She’s the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest,’ Benny gushed about Selena. ‘She’s truly just like my best friend … we laugh all f***ing day.’

When he was asked about having kids, Benny said: ‘That’s my next goal [to check] on the box. I have a lot of god kids, I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.’

Howard then asked Benny when he was going to ask the Wizards of Waverly Place star to marry him.

‘When I look at her, I do say, I’m always just like, “I don’t know a world where it could be better than this,”‘ he gushed.

Later, Howard said he predicted marriage in their future, and Benny replied, ‘You and me both.’

Selena was asked about her feelings about that exchange.

‘He can’t lie to save his life. If he’s asked a question, he’ll answer it,’ Gomez said at the Time 100 Event.

‘I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon.’

A source recently told ET: ‘They are excited at the idea of continuing to grow together and get closer.’

They also  added that ‘Benny thinks Selena is so amazing,’ and she ‘loves that Benny wants the best for people and is protective of her.’

By the sounds of it, they also have the support of loved ones. ‘They make each other happy and their friends and family are thrilled for them,’ the insider stressed.

Selena’s recent revelations about adoption and future motherhood comes soon after her ex Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey announced they’re expecting their first child.

Earlier this month, Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey announced that they’re expecting their first child

Justin and Selena dated on and off between 2010 and 2018.

Following their final breakup, Justin created shockwaves when he quickly turned his attentions to Hailey, before marrying her in September 2018.

Two weeks ago, Hailey announced her pregnancy joy with a beautiful video debuting her bump in a custom Saint Laurent lace wedding dress by Anthony Vaccarello, paired with a flowing veil, as she and Bieber renewed their vows in Hawaii.

Gomez had yet to publicly comment on the pregnancy but she did take to Instagram that same day to share a photo of herself holding hands with her new man Benny.
