Following recent speculation that Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco might be engaged, the Emilia Perez star started a frenzy online when fans noticed she’d begun following a popular wedding planner, CMG Weddings & Event, on TikTok. The follow was noted by fellow TikToker @gootholiday in a now viral clip posted on August 20. CMG specializes in luxury weddings in California, specifically Los Angeles, Napa Valley, and San Francisco.

Gomez hasn’t publicly announced or confirmed an engagement with the music producer, but she did recently share a mirror selfie in which a double-heart emoji hid her left ring finger.

The pair confirmed they were dating in late 2023 after about six months together. In July, a source told Us Weekly that the couple is “very serious and have talked about marriage,” and that Gomez sees Blanco as “definitely endgame [for her].”

In May, Blanco opened up during an interview with Howard Stern about meeting Gomez for their first date—and how quickly they knew it was something special.

“It was so crazy,” Blanco recalled. “When we went out on our first date, I didn’t even know it was a date. She was like, ‘Hey, you wanna hang out?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ We go and we hang out, and I remember we were talking. And she’s like so—she’s such a forward person, and she’s like the coolest, the nicest, the sweetest, everything—and I remember sitting there, and she’s like, ‘Well, I would have worn something different for this date,’ and I was like, ‘What? We’re on a date?’ And then before I know it, we’re hanging out the next day and the next day and the next day!”

He added, “The way we talk and stuff, people always say this to me, ‘You know when you meet your best friend.’ She’s truly just like my best friend. We laugh all fucking day. She inspires me. I get home from work, I think I had a good day. I’m like, ‘What did you do?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, I just filmed this thing with Meryl Streep and then I went to a fundraiser and now I’m like recording—’ My day sounds like shit every day compared to hers.”

When Stern asked Blanco if he had a ring picked out for Gomez, Blanco replied, “I don’t have anything. I’ve got no shoes on. I’ve got to get my act together.”
