Selena Gomez reveals which ‘Only Murders in the Building’ cast member farted in Meryl Streep’s face

A cast member on “Only Murders in the Building” passed gas in Meryl Streep’s face while filming Season 4, star and producer Selena Gomez revealed.

Gomez, 31, recalled the incident with co-star Martin Short on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night.

Short, who was guest hosting the late-night show, explained that they have “unbelievable” guest stars on the upcoming season of the Hulu comedy.

“There’s a scene where Molly Shannon comes in and has to curse all the actors in the scene out,” Short explained. “She’s drunk. And in the final cut, which I’ve seen, you’re also laughing.”

“Molly is just hysterical,” he added. “Every take was different and you just see your head turning to the side.”

Gomez couldn’t contain herself talking about the hilarious incident.

“She farted in Meryl’s face,” Gomez said.

“I was like, ‘What’s going on here?’ And Meryl’s like for it!” she added while crying tears of laughter.

Gomez continued: “I’m so sorry. I don’t even know to our editors if there’s a good take, because every take I would break. She was [doing improv] and just giving it her all and it was just perfect every time. It was perfect.”

“Those are the greatest moments when we get to work with those people,” said Short.

“Only Murders in the Building” returns for Season 4 on August 27 — and Shannon, 59, is one of the new cast members.

According to Variety, the “SNL” alum will play a high powered Los Angeles businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York.

The other Season 4 additions include Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani and Zach Galifianakis.

Streep will return as Loretta after joining the cast in Season 3.

The Emmy Award-winning series stars Gomez (as Mabel Mora), Short (as Oliver Putnam) and Steve Martin (as Charles Haden-Savage) as an unexpected trio who live in the same building in New York City and create a podcast together to solve murders.

Season 4 will see the Arconia 3 head to Los Angeles.

Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich told Deadline earlier this year, “I’m very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles. So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique ‘Only Murders’ will be applied to Los Angeles, which I’m really excited about.”

Gomez also gushed over getting to work with Streep on “JKL!”

“As an actress you can only dream to work with someone as great as her,” she said about her co-star. “But she would just dally around as if she was just a part of our family. She would sing songs barefoot. And talk to everyone and…that was elegant to me. That was true class.”
