Fisher Stevens, who plays slimy PR man Hugo in Succession, was the sensation of last week’s episode when he responded to Kendall Roy’s offer to be his ‘dog’ with: ‘Woof woof.’
Even more surprisingly, he got the job after long-term pal Leonardo DiCaprio recommended him personally to Beckham.
Stevens said: ‘The story I was told was that David was hanging out with Leo, and asked him who he should get.’

He continued: ‘I also feel like they wanted an American, because we didn’t have so many preconceived ideas about him.’
Stevens, from Chicago, won a Best Documentary Oscar in 2010, for The Cove, which exposed the Japanese practice of hunting and killing dolphins.
Meanwhile, on Succession the fate of Stevens’ character Hugo hangs in the balance as it’s yet to be seen if the tension-fraught merger with GoJo will go ahead.
The penultimate episode of the HBO series saw Logan Roy’s family come together to attend his funeral following his death six episodes earlier.
Among those in attendance were many of Logan’s former mistresses, also sat in a row ready to pay their respects.
Fans were quick to notice that one of the mistresses was being played by star Brian Cox’s real wife Nicole Ansari-Cox.
In the episode, Nicole took on the role of Sally-Ann, who was introduced by Lady Caroline (Harriet Walter).
The apt cameo of Brian’s real-life spouse as one of his many exes sent fans into a renzy, with many flooding social media with their reactions.
Sunday’s much-anticipated series finale will finally bring an answer to the burning question: Who will land Logan’s vast fortune?
